Name: Hanashiro Shizune.
Age: 259.
Visual Age: 25.
Gender: Female.
Division: 6th division Captain.
Personality: Shizune is the type of woman who prefers to be alone with a cup of tea then at a noisy party where there is alcohol. She often keeps to herself, not making any effort to be friendly. To most people, Shizune appears to be the cold type. And for the most part she is. Not only is she cold to most, but she can be quite cynical, sarcastic, and sometimes plain downright rude. However, Shizune was not always like this. Prior to her brother's murder, Shizune was known to be cheerful and optimistic, earning her a spot in many of her fellow Shinigami's hearts. After her brother's death though, Shizune became cold and seclusive, often not trusting in what others say.
However, despite her cold attitude towards strangers and other people, Shizune is actually quite nice once she warms up to someone. She has a very subtle sense of humor, though it is usually taken as sarcasm by most. Once she deems someone as trustworthy, Shizune will be absolutely loyal to that person, often being the shoulder that they can cry on if needed. However, despite her willingness to help those she considers dear to her, she will never lean on anyone else’s shoulder or ask for help-to her, doing this would be causing trouble for that person, something she couldn’t bare to do.
Appearance: Imagine this as her clothing but the avatar I have is the real face.
History/Background: Shizune was born to a Japanese family in medieval times. Her mother was Japanese and died shortly after giving birth. Since her mother's grandmother's name was Shizune, her father named her after that. Her father was a firm believer in that those who have the ability should protect those who have no power. Thus, since she showed a natural talent for battle from a young age, she was sent to train and become one of the country's most prestigious martial artists. At the age of 15, her father's wish came true and Shizune became a black belt in many Japanese martial arts.
During her childhood years, Shizune trained excessively, desiring to make her father proud. She displayed an uncanny ability in the educational department as well, proving to have a higher IQ than the average child. This only enabled her to excel in her education. All of that came down when she died of an unexpected disease; cancer.
She found herself chained to the floor where she died, and her father crying over her dead body in the hospital she was taken to. For many days and nights, Shizune had regrets of dying like that, unsure of what the afterlife holds for her. Just as she was about to lose it for waiting for almost an entire 2 and a half weeks, she was greeted by a Shinigami who took her back to Seireitei.
So Shizune followed the Shinigami to a weird new world called 'Seireitei'. She was astounded from that, and as soon as she entered into Rokungai, her astonishment turned to despair. She found her brother there, living amongst the poor, her long dead brother. They both exchanged greetings as they sat together for many days and nights talking with each other. The Shinigami meanwhile left.
Shizune may have been poor in Rokungai, but she lived quite happily with her brother... that was until one night, she woke up to find a dart stuck to her brother's neck. He was dead. Panicking, she sought out to find the murderers, angry about the death and the same time, saddened. It was until then, a voice called her out, a voice inside her head. Bewildered at first, Shizune dwelled upon this voice, finding out that this voice is something that calls itself 'Zan-Pak-Tou'.
Just as she was about to delve more into this, a group of Shinigami's approached her and took her away against her will. She was brought forcefully into an academy, confused as to why that happened. It was explained to her that she awakened an inner spirit called Zanpakuto, a part of the Shinigami.
Her time in the academy was long and hard, but in the end; it paid off. Shizune graduated with high passing marks and got herself a nice spot at 6th division because of her judgmental skills and strong convictions and dedications to her mission. She served the 6th division for 100 before getting her latest promotion as Captain.

The sun was still rising into the sky, it was roughly still near early morning, but not too early, after all she wouldn't have woken up if it were too early. Then again maybe she would have with the way she had been feeling lately. Her brother had finally come home, and little peice of her had returned, but she was still constantly seperated from the love of her life, which almost hurt her more than even her brother being gone did. She was almost at her future home, the grand palace. She knew exactly who she was going to go and see, and she knew the perfectly good reason as to why she was going to see him.
Finally the palace walls came into view and she smiled. She slowed when she passed by a store window, making sure her outfit looked fine. She didn't dress up much today, mainly because she was still tired and sore from her swords practice the day before. Her teacher was pleased with how well she was doing, but still she got tired from the 6 practices a week. She had taken the day off, because she couldn't get James off her mind, and her teacher decided two days off would do her some good. She had left her blonde hair down, it was brushed and all, but it wasn't pulled up like she usually had it. Then she was just wearing a white skirt, and a black top, the skirt wasn't very long, and the black shirt just happened to be a tube top. She smiled at her reflection. "I really was pretty lazy today." she said to herself laughing then continued to the palace.
She had no problem getting inside, the guards all knew her and smiled as she came through, and she smiled in return as she gazed at the beautiful building infront of her. She knew which room she was going to, so she didn't need anyone's help who offered. She just thanked them for their offer but turned it down politely as she continued on. Finally she got to the room she was looking for. Of course she knew where Alastairs bed chamber was, and she figured he would probaby be sleeping in, since he worked more and more lately. She knocked twice and then walked in, noticing a lump on his bed and she laughed quietly to herself.
She walked quietly over to the window and gazed down at the garden below. It was one of the most beautiful view's she had ever laid eyes on. Then her eyes turned back to the lump on the bed and she sat on the edge of the bed, knowing he would end up waking up soon.
