Shikai Ability: The strings on the scythe allow for some to most of her shikai based water attacks as the tunes allow a variety of ways to manipulate water both in the air and nearby, and if she can get the manipulated water to cut the opponent, she can withdraw some blood to both drain reiatsu and add power to her water attacks. If the scythe outright slices someone then more blood is extracted and added to her special brand of water to attack the opponent with.

Bankai Ability: Moisture from the air can be used to lengthen the Kusarigama, as well as strengthen it to make it harder to break, or weaken it upon will so that it breaks and reforms as needed. Anytime it slashes an opponent some of their blood leaves their body to combine with the Kusarigama and also any water under Sunari’s control. The water already summoned by her can take on anywhere from a clear blue to a murky, deep and rich crimson color in hue due to her many assassinations of the past. Reiatsu is drained anytime the blade slashes them as well, and if it passes through some techniques that are otherwise reiatsu based. Lastly it has absorbed the blood of at least 1000 killed opponents over her time as a second division member and can be summoned/used for varying attacks.
