=background=: being a strong and gifted soul on earth he was always different from the other kids, obsessed with magic and the tales of japanese warriors able to wield and master the arts of magic as unstoppable weapons. Training tirelessly and reading book upon book about magic Pedragon wished deperately to be able to just once, use a spell. One day, trying harder than ever to unlock his hidden magic, he was approached by 3 local drunks who insulted him, told that magic was not real and he was a joke. Pendragon got mad and chased after them however his foot got caught on a poorly constructed roof tile and he fell to his death at the age of 12. Wandering the earth for days he started to morn his parents and became bitter, a shinigami was passing the boy just as he was away to turn into a hollow and stopped it then and there, sending pendragon to the soul society. born in the rukongai, raised by only his father (a traveling show magician), as his mother went missing one day when he was very young-around the time his town was swarmed by a travelling bounto clan- he very much blames his mothers dissapearance on the bounto and hates anyone who belongs to that race, vowing he will one day be strong enough to track down and avenge his mothers death.

The same shinigami that sent him to soul society was by chance strolling through the rukongai one day when he sensed an overwhelmingly immense release of reitsu come from a house nearby. Only to find a small boy standing on burnt charred remains of what looked like a house. He instantly took the child to his division first aid room and made sure he was unhurt before hearing the boys story- the boy had been reading one of his dads magic books and attempted one of the 'advanced tricks' as it was called in the book, this turned out to be shot of red fire and the boy performed it so well it burnt the house down. Asking the boy to show it to him they went to the 10th division training hall and got out the target. The boy focused again and repeated what he had done before, destroying every last shred of the target and burning the floor around it- the shinigami was stunned by the natural talent and instantly explained to him about the seireitei and the 13 divisions, but in great lengths he told the boy about the kidou corps and the boy was enthralled by this division and vowed when he grew up he would be a part of that division. Well he eventually grew up to lead that divison, but here is the story of how.

Pendragon spent 5 years training and studying at the school, thinking he had already mastered magic he decided it also important to become brilliant with the sword, so spent the majority of the 5 years becoming skilled in swordplay, excelling to the top of his class in sword skills after the 5 years. Rumours started to spread that he was captain material but nothing seemed to come of that for a while. Applying for and getting accepted to the kidou corps the captain at the time took an instant shining to him and noticed his incredible natural talent with kidou. becoming close friends the captain told him that he would spend the next three years training him to become his replacement. Three years of intense kidou training and pendragon was soul trembelingly powerful and skillful with kidou, impressing the captain on a daily basis he quickly flew up the ranks to vice and was told two things- train hard and achieve bankai and you will learn your last lesson from me, and also that once he had achieved bankai he wished pendragon to fight him as he believed he no longer deserved the title of kidou chief and he wanted to see if he was correct-that he as captain was no longer the most skilled user of kidou in soul society.

So pendragon achieved bankai and learned the last lesson- the lesson of the forbidden kidou.

They battled, for what seemed like days on end, tirelessly they faught, both pumping out high level kidou after high level kidou and neither even feeling a strain on their reitsu, however the old mans feelings were correct and he began to tire while pendragon still faught on like he was fresh, eventually being beaten by the shining warrior pendragon, the old captain handed over his title and pendragon ruled as captain to everyone's approval and consent, happy to have such a skilled and wise leader they follow him faithfully and to the death.

=personality=: very unstoppable when motivated to reach a goal but without proper motivation is worse than useless. clever, inovative and very good at thinking on his feet he can get himself out of a slippery situation surprisingly well.
passionate about life he loves and values the seireitei and everything it stands for, happily giving his life to defend it to the ground pendragon truely loves the soul society. Not caring about race or history, pendragon does not hate anyone before meeting them, instead judging them on there morals, reasons for living and personality- you cannot choose what you are born as, but you can choose how you spend that life.

rather prefering to use kidou to his zanpaktou, he will begrudgingly draw it if he must. Prefering to have a group of fantastic, close friends who are kindred spirits to himself than a massive bundle of intermediate friends pendragon values and cares for those friends more than he does for himself. If you are on pendragons friend list you are protected and looked after for life.

=fighting=: deciding to specialise in kidou instead of hand to hand combat, pendragon has master KIDOU techniques as his weapons. obviously still skilled in swordplay, it is not his speciality and he dislikes having to use his sword, attempting to win a battle without drawing it is his favourite passtime.

had this arrancar underestimated the resources of the seireitei, had she undersized the operation that they run? Souls Society had informants and safe houses dotted all over the world, they were international on scale and unmeasurably humungous as an opperation. The main job of the Seireitei was to protect the human world and maintain the flow of purification of souls into the rukongai, why then would they not have a base in every country across the world?

the phone in the grand kidou chiefs office rang as pendragon sat at his desk finishing off the last chapter of war and peace... He could see that it was the sotaicho calling, but he only had four pages left and was not one to leave a brilliant piece of work unfinished while he was in the swing of things already... he would go and report to the 1st division once he was finished this chapter and see what all the fuss is about...

Stepping from roof to roof the captain smiled as he had enjoyed that book very much, the man knew what he was talking about. passing by the second division pendragon landed on the roof of the main training hall and inside he saw the captain training with several of his seated officers, pendragon waved to his friend and smiled, taking off once more skipping across the tiles as he shunpoed with immense skill and finnesse. Landing one final time the captain spiral jumped forward, and through the open window leading to the waiting hall for the 1st division.. landing and rolling pendragon stood up and dusted himself off, making sure noone saw his uncooth appearance into the building. Pendragon knocked on the door and waited... as he did he suddenly noticed actually what a lovely, heart warming day it was in Soul Society, shunpoing all this way he had been so wrapped up with what the captain commander could want with him that he hadn't even registered the atmosphere...A skin warming glow emminated from the sky as a light, cooling breeze flowed along with the suns rays almost as if they were dancing together in the air, a refreshing feel came with the air as you breethed and alltogether it made you apreciate the world more.


"the captain will see you now" pendragon was snapped out of his trance by a small, endeering man who looked blankly at the captain who stood towering before him

Pendragon nodded and entered the throne room, bowing as low as humanly possible

"right Chief pendragon, i'll get straight to the point. Around twenty minutes ago a call came in from our ground base in hawaii, a woman was spotted hovering above the island and then following her came several menos grande apparently under her control. Her reitsu was completely hidden so we can only assume the worst and prepare for her being the first espada- better for you to be over prepared and waste your time with her than risking injury to you or your allies...
your division has been put in charge of this and you are to assume complete control as of now, you may take a maximum of two other captains with you if you feel they will be needed, who you choose is down to you also... we will keep in constant radio contact with you at all times. You and your squad will be placed under a 70% reitsu barrier to begin with, if you need this revoked remember it may take us up to 4 and a half minutes to revoke it and give you full power. On completion of this you will receive a double pay package for this month along with anyone who joins you. Good luck pendragon, this may prove to be a challenging mission." the captain commander said as he bowed slightly and waved pendragon away


Struck by the intensity and magnitude of this mission, pendragon stood outside the 1st divisions head quarters and had a look of what could have been mistaken for fear on his face- this was infact a mistake as a small smile worked its way up pendragons cheek from the left side of his mouth, the right side soon followed and before long he was beaming from ear to ear, taking a running jump the captain shouted with joy and strode down the giant steps with conviction. The captain had been waiting a long time, a very long time for a chance to strike back against the espada that ravaged the human world so malicely- pendragon finally felt like this may be the start of the great war the shinigami had been so long training on waiting for with abaited breath and hands on swords...finally the day of justice and repetance was upon them, and pendragon was gonna hit that chance with everything he's got.

Stopping off by his barracks pendragon changed into his most presentable outfit for the femal espada company he was so excited about sharing soon, he dumped his official papers and grabbed a few extra items from his storage room, several kunai, a few contraptions donated to him by his friend, captain Ryuchii from the 12th division finally he grabbed two glasses, a bottle of champagne and some fresh breath spray... the captain was really going all out on this one. Having already gathered his squad in the meeting hall, pendragon entered to find all of his members standing in line with the seated officers right up to his vice sitting in the 10 seats at the back, pendragon moved over and took his position, obviously on the largest most central seat in the hall.

"everyone" pendragon commanded as the ruckus died down and silence stilled in the kidou corps "we the kidou corps have just been put in charge of a dangerous and exciting mission- Around twenty minutes ago a call came in from our ground base in hawaii, a woman was spotted hovering above the island and then following her came several menos grande apparently under her control. Her reitsu was completely hidden so we can only assume the worst and prepare for her being the first espada, but it is our job to meet this menace head on and deal with it accordingly. we as a division will deal with this on our own, but i have already contacted and briefed two other captains who are stationed on high alert and ready to move on a single word from me. However, they are a last resort and we should be capable of dealing with this problem easily and without injury! You hear me, i want nothing but 100% out there, youv got kidou corps pride riding on this mission as well as an increased pay package. I have complete confidence in your ability and skill as a division and do no see this going any other way than us getting a free holiday in hawaii, using the arrancar and her army as deck chairs! Now- i propose to us that we use formation z for this mission...we have all practiced this formation many a time and it is a killer move, so it should prove the sting in the scorpions tail. Everyone, be ready to move out in twenty five minutes" the captain finished as he left his chair and took his vice with him to ready the senkai gate for the mission before them


Above the silent sky of hawaii, a deep and heavy feel poisened the air. Below the purple clouds lay the island and on that begotten island was a very unwelcome guest. Suddenly, as three swans flew overhead a portal opened in their path and they cried out in shock... the portal closed and standing there before the island and its invaders was a the kidou coprs chief pendragon, backed by an army of kidou warriors... it was a truely awe inspiring sight and as pendragon observed the area, the armada's and thought of the battle that was about to ensue... he let a little smile slip through his sombre front

children slept and cats crept while the moolight glistened off the roof tiles below pendragons feet, this was the way he liked things, just himself alone with his thoughts and the whole world open to him. He'd never seen much point in sleeping lots, just a waste of time really, he got so much more energy and calm from these silent midnight city streets than he ever could from his eyelids....

Sensing a change in the winds pendragon felt it time to move on and see some more of the town before the inevitable soul hungry hollow chases his reitsu and he is forced to slay it. Leaving the roof as silently and as smoothly as he had appeared there pendragon was gone within a blink, shunpoing off the house he seemingly hovered for a second in the midnight air before plummeting precariously for the ground below...seconds before he hit, pendragon spun his body in mid air and launched himself off the side of the building he was just standing on. Flying from that wall pendragon hit the roof of the house infront of him with oomph and finess at the same time, making no audible sound he rebounded off the tiles like a squirell and laded on the next roof along.

Smiling to himself for the incredible skill and ability he had just performed to the invisible crowd pendragon's mouth curled up coyly as he knew somehow that this was gonna be a good night, leaving this roof with incredible speed he hit the next one and shunpoed off it faster than the eye can comprehend, hitting roof after roof silently he bounded his way with intollerable speed across the town and felt the wind rush his hair back and ruffle his captains outfit, all this stopped suddenly as he came to an abrupt but somehow natural stop crouching ontop of a chimney...he had sensed some powerful but somehow familiar reitsu from somewhere behind him, he prayed it was a friend...

can sites please explain why they have all suddenly gotten rid of the kidou corps??? as soon as cero was introduced in the manga all hollow characters could suddenly use it, as soon as the sceele sclinter for quincies was seen in the manga it was usable on rp sites- the moment anything is introduced in the manga it is introduced on rp sites...so why about 2 chapters after the kidou corps appeared in person are they being removed??? it does not affect the site at all!

just think, if you were the leader of centeral 46- you know that strength for shinigami ranks lies in specialisation, you already have a division for specialisation into swordfighting etc (11th) so if kidou is such a powerful tool to the shinigami why would you not create a division that specialises into it??? that would be foolish to ignore such a powerful weapon for the shinigami?? yes maybe the old captain left/got arrested- but for a division with so many uses and such potential you would find a new captain and keep the kidou corps alive so they continue being a powerful faction of the seirietei- it would make no battle sense to just dissolve them and have so many people who are skilled in kidou wandering about/spread out about all the divisions and not unifying their power- that would be a very foolish move for the centeral 46

Well for one thing they likely couldn't be thought of the same strength as a shingami captain, and often is seen as just an excuse to have another "captain" class character. Also there is always the fact that, it is hard enough trying to fill certain divisions as it is without adding a whole other one, when there are 13 other ones that lack otherwise active members. As well, Kido corps is not really SEEN much meaning there's no clear idea of what they're off doing other than the occasional movie firing of the kido cannon. Now, maybe they can be reintroduced, and leave out the captain/lt of that and leave it as an otherwise simple division...but at the same time likely you should still be in another division so you can 1) have someone to receive orders from and 2) have more of something to do, seeing as there isn't otherwise much known purpose for the Kido corps other than maybe creating new kido, or continuing learning mastery in it. Plus there's the fact that the kido list is still somewhat incomplete, and there is otherwise at times far too many fights over how a kido works or the fact of "gming" with it.

Also if I remember correctly, Hinamori was quoted as being talented in kido, and I believe her own zanapktou type is kido, yet she is happy enough in a squad. Others have also shown adept skills with kido, such as Izuru.
