Division: 12th squad
Personality: On the outside, he seems as cold as his skin. He does not open up to anyone, he doesn't share how he is nor what he thinks unless commanded to by another Captain. However, even a pineapple, that has a harsh exterior, has a soft inside. He plays it cold, and dark, not to get close, not to lose another that he cares for. He bottles up his rage and anger, hides his depression, and his most intimate feelings for anyone in his squad. This Shell may be hard for anyone to break, but just because he is cold yet warm, does not mean he does not care. He will die in battle for any of his comrades if it gets to that point, as long as they are safe, he will be happy, although hell never show it.
History/Background: There is a story, that was written many ages back, when the Scientists of the 12th squad were able to conduct any research or any experiment freely. And of course, anything that happened, they were not held accountable for, If an experiment was accidentally let loose, it was taken lightly and the experiment was disposed of by the Shinigami. However, there were some experiments that were kept low under the table. Some that were never even brought to the light of either Central 46 or the Captain Commander. These experiments were to create new breeds of life. To fuse together the characteristics of a Man and an Animal. These experiments were banned by the heads of Soul Society. But that did not stop anyone from doing them secretly. A Scientist of the 12th squad, name unknown anymore, did just this. He owned a little "house" away from Soul Society, and the only way to get there was from a secret passage that led from under the 12th squad Barracks, to his house. This way he was not caught nor nagged or badgered about what he was doing.
Within this house, he did many different experiments, many that were thought to be unruly, and thought to be inhumane. But that did not stop him from doing it. As many may not know, there are a lot of unexplored area's of Soul Society. And it was this Scientist that found one. He stumbled upon it one day, and what it contained was something that no one had ever seen since the Fifth Mass Extinction 65 million years ago...A land of Dinosaurs. Yes, he found a small utopia of Dinosaurs, not "living' in a sense, but still able to be experimented on. He stayed away for a while, observing the specimens that were there, and deciding on which to take. So one day, he set off, and acquired a nice young specimen, a Raptor. He had used a special sleeping agent he had gotten from his research office, on the raptor, to be able to get him home safely.
He had spent night and day experimenting. Trying to create the perfect cross between Human and Animal, an Anthro. But it seemed harder then what it was. He was able to give the Anthro a Human form, but he seemed to have kept the tough skin and features of the Raptor form he was, and what was also an astonishment, he was able to morph back and forth from his Anthro form into his more Feral form. The scientist trained this Anthro in the ways of the shinigami, and the way of research, hopefully to one day, be able to bring him in front of the Captain Commander and Central 46 and have be allowed to become a full Fledged Shinigami in the 12th Squad. However, there was a kink in this plan. The Scientist that created this Moprhing ANthro, was killed in battle by a intruding Hollow that was roaming the countryside by his house.
The morphing Raptor Anthro, who took up the name Exa, felt rage and depression for the first time in his life. You may not know it, but some animals do not feel feelings. They feel nothing. But because of the Scientists tampering, he was able to feel his first emotions. He knew that he was not like the many other shinigami that were normal in Soul Society, but he knew that he could rise to become someone better. He would take this gift that was bestowed upon him, to be able to Walk and talk and act like a normal person, and inflict revenge upon the Hollows that killed his Creator....his Father.... He would soon after that, burn down his 'fathers' house, and walk his way to the gates of Soul Society. The only thing he brought with him was the robes and papers that his father wanted him to bring, so that he may enter easily, and have a conference with the Captain Commander and Central 46. After a period of time, and the Captain Commander and the Central 46 talking it over, he was barely able to become a Shinigami in the 12th squad. He would start out at the very bottom, but rise slowly and steadily to teh top, untill he was the captain of the 12th squad, to make his Father proud.
RP Sample: Exa stood there at his table, grabbing two test tubes in one hand, a beaker with his tail, and writing something down in his right hand. He brought the beaker around and took a test tube and poured a little of the substance in there, as he watched it fizzle a little, then shoot up into the ceiling, making a hole as it kept going. He sighed "Acide...again...great...." He said, as he carefully put a top over the foaming substance that was now leaking onto the floor, and thankfully not on his tail or any other body part. He sighed and shook his head as he set the beaker and test tubes back down. He looked around and marked in his notes once more as he stepped back from the table, grabbing his Zan, and walking out of the room.
As he stood outside of his quarters, looking up and down the the pathway, he coughed a little, yawning as well. He didn't like yawning, but it was something that he did a lot now, and he regretted it. He went to the left, and started down the path, going to thee turns, going past other barracks and quarters. He want sure where to go, nor was he sure what to do. He dindn't like to be cooped up inside a building, this was a draw back of being a shinigami. He was always cooped up inside. The Feral part of him longed to get out, to run in the wild and be free. But he knew that something of that sort was unobtainable. He knew that if he did that, he would be losing focus on his work, and this losing the respect of the captain Commander who put his neck out on the line for him.
