Personality: Izai Itonami is a genius when it comes to the human anatomy.He can identify and hit points in the body better and quicker than anyone around.This fact has led to him being self-centered and arrogant at times.He could care less about what people say and he usually does what he wants when not working on new potions and pills to heal his fellow shinigami.He does his job as more of a testament to his skill than as a help to the Gotei 13.

Appearance: Izai is not a large man at all.He stands at a commanding 5'8 and weighs a devastating 135ilbs.His tiny frame is lean and built for speed rather than power.His pointed face is usually drawn into a bored expression and his bright red hair make him stand out in a crowd.Atop his head,Izai wears a white conical hat(like Kyoraku's) he pulls down low over his face when he is sleepy or doesn't care about the topic at hand.

History/Background: Izai grew up in one of the Rukongai districts closest to Seireitei.This let him grow up in a privileged neighborhood in a family that put more importance upon Izai's learning.All day,Izai would study textbooks levels ahead of his neighbors' kids.He took a liking to the human anatomy and physiology early on and read more texts on that than anything.At very young age,he memorized every bone and organ in the body and began to experiment with medical texts and practices.

Izai's talents gained the notice of a few shinigami that patrolled the area often and they asked him to join the Shinigami Academy.Naturally,Izai accepted and went in to the academy with an IQ much higher than his classmates.He learned quickly how to wield a sword and took a liking to the kidou spells they taught him,coupled with his natural speed(warranted by his tiny frame),Izai became a particularly dangerous shinigami early on.He graduated early on and entered the 4th Division where he immediately began working on healing shinigami and discovering new medicine.
