Personality:
At first he would seem emotionless but if you hang around him long enough you would see that he defends things or people that are close to him. Given the situation he may be quick to anger, and has an unimaginable sence of vengeance if someone does something that seems wrong to him even if it is something minor ike an insult or as far as destroying it completly he blindly seek revenge for whatever it was that they had done.

Background/History:
Matt was always an obedient child, doing all his chores not caring wether or not his parents paid him. He got straight As all through school. He then got an average teenage job, but he always hoped that there could be something more out there for him. He soon decided to take up archery, and Matt quickly learned that he had impressive hand eye co-oordination ad could hit a bulls eye from 50 metres away, he also learned that he was even more accurate with a pistol able to hit a bulls eye from up to 70 metres metres away.

One night on his way home from work after working a late shift he felt an eerie presence, and before he even knew what had happened he got smashed against a wall and then all within one second, he could feel the invisible monster moving, he saw an arrow made of blue energy hit where the thing must have been standing and he heard the monster go down. He saw that the blue arrow had been shot by his father. Matt asked what that thing was, he told him that it was called a hollow, but then his father got sent flying in the same way that Matt had earlier. He ran to his fathers side, his father told Matt that he was what was called a quincy and that he was able to fire the arrow because of a chain that he kept around his wrist and because of his quincy blood which was flowing through Matt as well, he gave the chain to Matt and told him to finish off the hollow with his last breath and he passed away.

Matt stood up with tears streaming down his face as he charged up the arrow with all the power he had and fired the arrow at the hollow which was now visible to him, he eradicated the hollow and then swore revenge on the race of hollows for killing his father. A year later he had learned to use his quincy powers and had moved to Karakura town, he saw other quincies exterminating hollows and decided to follow them hoping to learn more about the quincies.
