Dyo Kagoshima

Dyo remembers very little of his history as a human, only small pieces of assassinations, political coups and several other painful memories that have caused him to make the sum of himself as being a former political assassin. However, his life as a hollow and arrancar are far more vibrant and easily remembered.

For more than a century he wandered, passing between human and hollow realms. His being fueled only by the desire to survive, though strange it may be he was a hollow who despised the act of devouring a human's soul as some gentleness remained in his hollow heart, even in death. Until at last he found himself within the human realm and witnessed the murder of a young woman. Unable to restrain himself he attacked the woman's murderer, the sight of her blood enraging his very being. Grabbing the man with his clawed hands he ripped and devoured the human in a bloody feast of intestines and torn spirit particles.

As his feast was finished the blood he did taste sparked in his being a dormant hunger and lust, his body ached and writhed with ecstasy from the flavor of a dead human's flesh. It felt so natural, so right, and so wonderful. With no further restraint he sought out another human, and then another and another, until his gluttony was fulfilled, for now at least. As his days passed he become hungry once more, he took delight in the blood of humans, but still, in his mind there was something that prevented him from taking the lives of women. Something human that cried out in his mind, so instead he hunted those he deemed unfit to live, hunting the hunters of women, rapists, murderers, in his eyes they were the same, scum and worthless dogs that would serve as his food.

Yet as time passed his hunger was no longer slaked by the blood of humans and he could feel the growth of his strength cease along with it. Driven by hunger he took himself from the human realm and hunted the deserts of Hueco Mundo, slaughtering and feasting of each hollow he did lay eyes upon. Day by day he felt himself grow in power, his claws were sharper, his muscles larger and his powers greater. He hunted and feasted until his growth took him to that of Menos Forest.

It was there he allowed himself to meld with the majority consciousness of other hollow, forming one of those most massive Gillian. He laid dormant for some few months, his mind surrounded by the revolting thing that were hollow, their filth and greed sickening him until at last his will established dominance in an epic battle of wills. He felt the power within himself as his gaze shifted and change as he saw those many Menos surrounding him. Rage and hunger filled him once more, he could not stand these creatures, beings fueled simply by hate and lust for power.

So he bit and clawed, devouring all Menos foolish enough to wander in his path. Day by day his powers matured and at last his body changed once more, shrinking and changing into a form most similar to that of which he had as a normal hollow so many years ago. Yet he felt different, through his body he could feel an intoxicating power run through his veins, his stomach ached just as his mind did for more. "More!" he screamed, "More I must have more!" His lust and desire began to consume him as it did for most other hollow. Yet it was worse now than it ever had been, he was an adjuchas, one of those elite of the hollow race.

Reverting to those primal instincts he wandered Hueco Mundo once more, hunting far grander prey now thanks only to his newfound powers. Feasting upon hordes of Gillian and Adjuchas slaked his thirst for those many years of hunting. His powers grew to such a point that he felt he would be one of the few to attain the great level of Vasto Lorde.

Fueled by the impending transformation and the promise of ages, Dyo continued to feast upon the corpses of slain Gillian and Adjuchas, but he gained no further benefit. Enraged by the halt in progression he roared throughout Hueco Mundo, a massive storm of energies engulfing him as he took to slaughtering the masses of fellow hollow, feasting, despite the halt of growth.

Eventually, the undeniably powerful Adjuchas became desperate, thinking that which is never attempted, even by the strongest of Adjuchas, he made his path towards Ammocoral, the home of the few Vasto Lorde, the great alabaster halls in which the strongest of hollow kind did gather.

He entered, screaming to the roof, his massive roar echoing his unwelcome challenge, to those few dwelling within. And he was met, met by two Vasto Lorde, two who would dwarf even his own magnificent powers. But he was far from deterred, he immediately struck out against one of the two, striking a fatal blow even in the terrifying moment they had told him to leave.

He struck again and again, plowing through the first and ripping flesh with claw and fang, devouring the first and growing in power, an all too missed feeling. Turning his bloodied face he witnessed the second gather his own powers, but the dwarfing of powers was not so distant now. Lashing out with terrible blades of reiatsu he skewered the beast, impaling the monster through the chest and even devouring its mask as it still drew breath. He was merciless, tearing and biting until both monsters were dead.

In the instant, he felt the climax of powers within his hollow soul, the screaming of massed energies that had reached their moment of triumph. His body shifted and shrunk in size, but his power reached titanic levels, surpassing any mere Gillian, Adjuchas.

In his growth, Dyo took to wandering the planes of Hueco Mundo once more, one who desired never to rule, but instead to live a path that would raise the societal age from the darkness it sat in. He was wise enough to keep the bulk of his powers concealed to that of a simple Adjuchas, preventing unwanted eyes from finding him.

But as time passed, he did become restless, he was a living legend, but one without purpose. He had heard of the Espada, but he had almost no interest in them, a bunch of power hungry fools who could be slain by him in a single stroke. But time progressed, and his ears heard of the shinigami who held an orb of power, one that would cause magnificent growth and purpose to be instilled upon those who accepted his liege.

He protested at the idea of following a shinigami, so he kept himself hidden. Much to his initial dismay though, he was found. For even with his powers concealed he would remain to be seen as a powerful Adjuchas, his true power where unknown even for the piercing gaze of Aizen Sosuke, the man who thought well to approach Dyo as he walked the sands.

Aizen spoke of power, growth, honor, and pride, a world in which hollow would live in peace. But he spoke of war as well, pain and death caused on part of the Shinigami. A pity for Aizen that pretty words held no sway over Dyo, it was growth he was interested in, never-ending limits is what he desired.

Under the promise of power, Dyo accepted. And in the moment of promise, his body fell into darkness, bound by unseen forces that gripped his body like the strands of fate themselves. Bound, he slept in the darkness of promised powers, waiting until he matured in growth once more.

For months he waited in his slumber, finally he became aware as he felt his body change and the great white mask covering his face crumble. His powers surged and grew to new heights, ones he had ne'er felt or thought possible before. Through the passage of time his bonds were broken and his body fell against stone with a hard thud. Slowly he gathered himself and his bearings, noticing his hands were that of human and at his side lay a long, elegant nodachi that was no doubt his zanpaktou.

Rising to his feet he found his eyes upon the visage of the shinigami he saw those months before, he kneeled appropriately before the Aizen and his court of Espada. As quickly as he knelt he was given a place among Manami's fraccion, a fact that Dyo was impassive in regards to, position meant nothing to one such as he, he desired growth and peace, nothing else.

For years he served the Third and her whims, the rage he held for his kind exchanged instead for a feeling of respect. He watched Manami closely and held a respect for her unlike any other, she was not a being fueled by lust for power but instead for a respect and promised world of peace. His respect was cemented even further by the respect he was granted by his own power. He was not frowned upon or seen as a nuisance as most fraccion were by their power, nor was he even treated as a slave. No, she gave him respect and opportunity to prove himself as well as he could.

During this time he fought countless battles for Manami, fighting vaizard and shinigami as she so ordered. Each time he pressed himself further to serve as a method to improve his Espada. Injuries he received yet it compared not to the silent praise he received. Every action was for Manami and no other, not even the shinigami known as Aizen. Dyo could not trust him after all, he was just another shinigami craving power over the world, but in Manami his purpose was clear and defined.

Happy he was even for those years, until the winter war did come. Aizen's madness had reached new heights as he took the Espada along with several of their fraccion to battle. Wishing to stay by Manami's side he pleaded that he be allowed to accompany her but he was denied this request, it was his place to guard Las Noches and destroy the ryoka and captains within.

Acknowledging his duties he dictated what hollow he could he struck out against those fools. Through cunning along with cloak and dagger tactics his sword found its way through Mayuri Kurotsuchi's throat, an act Dyo took pride in for being perhaps the only fraccion capable of succeeding where an Espada had failed. As the battle in Hueco Mundo climaxed Dyo could feel that the intruders had made their way back to the human realm.

Cero: Cero is a high-powered, swift energy blast that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. At Dyo's current level a fully charged cero blast is more than capable of killing or at the very least severely injuring a low class shinigami. Though often times Dyo rarely utilizes his cero, favoring instead the quicker bala.

Sonído: is the arrancar equivalent of the shinigami flash steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for Flash Steps.

Gémelos Sonído: Through study and constant practice Dyo has mastered the art of Sonido, even to such a level that he is now able to even duplicate the ability of the former seventh espada, Zommari LeRoux. By simply adding a maximum of four steps Dyo is capable of creating up to eight "speed clones" that are capable of performing a single attack before dissipating. However adding even still to the realism of these clones they seem to be able to even be capable of mocking an injury. This blood and attack ability requires for Dyo to disperse quick bursts of reiatsu when creating these clones, giving them a somewhat semi-solid existence before dissipating into the air.

Garganta: is how Hollows and arrancar move to and from Hueco Mundo.

Hierro: Hierro is the "iron skin" of most arrancar. Dyo's hierro is easily considered powerful, capable of deflecting a released zanpaktou with little more than a shower of sparks. At his current stage of power his hierro is capable of deflecting the attacks of even Lieutenants, making his seemingly impervious to attacks.

Bala: Bala is a much weaker version of Cero. However, what it lacks in power it substitutes with extreme speed, making the victim feel as though a massive blunt bullet struck them. Dyo's current level of Bala is capable of deflecting and dissipating cero blasts from most lower level hollow along with causing severe injury if a direct hit were to be had.

Pesquisa: The Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to sonar.

Fighting Style:

Though despite his capabilities as a fighter he is more along the lines of a pacifist, avoiding a conflict of arms for as long as possible. This much is displayed by his unwillingness to draw his zanpaktou in battle, though this should not be viewed as a weakness. For in the stead of his zanpaktou he often fights with nothing more than his hands and feet. A great student and master of martial arts, he has combined two styles of martial arts, Muay Thai Boxing and Okinawa Kempo.

Through melding these two styles he is as capable of crushing bones as he is at striking vital points and tendons, either crushing or disabling his enemies as he sees fit. Should he be pressed hard enough to become lethal in combat one will see his true strength of fist and foot. Utilizing his own personal method of bala energies he incorporates hollow power seamlessly into his own unique style, making him all the more dangerous to those foolish enough to fight him hand to hand.

Favoring an attack he has come to call Arponear Mano (Spear Palm) it entails something similar to Byakuya Kuchiki's Senka. Through his mastery of sonido and unbelievably fast physical attacks he is capable of shattering an enemy's Saketsu and Hakusui in a single, precise attack. Though not always targeting an enemy's chains he still often spears his hand through enemies, giving notice to those that he fights that they are highly outclassed.

Among his capable hand techniques he is just as proficient in foot combat, able to deliver bone crushing kicks with zero effort. Favoring deceptive tactics he often feints a dependency on his fists and, once his enemy is snared in the deceit, crushes their bodies with a kick that delivers such devastating results, that few ever even survive.

Aside from such a mastery of hand-to-hand combat his true strength lies in the blade. Having adapted a style unknown his movements are precise and effective. Utilizing the superior length of his zanpaktou he will attack his enemies from a further distance, driving them back with bone splintering strength and unseen, godlike sweeping attacks, favoring the occasional stab to throw off an enemy's stance.

Through proper analysis and skill Dyo is more than capable of adapting to nearly any situation presented before him in combat. Highly efficient at crushing an enemy's defense through powerful kicks and devastating overheard sweeps of his zanpaktou few are capable of standing before him for more than a few seconds. Once overriding an enemy and their defense the fight is truly over. No matter the endurance they posses, nor the power they boast, Dyo crushes his opponents with unrelenting speed and power. Discharging bala and cero between attacks in fluid motions, driving his enemy to a point of no return until at last, his sword or Arponear Mano pierces an enemy's chest, killing them before they would even fall to the ground.

Though unlikely as it may be, when pressed into a defensive motion Dyo transfers himself in a fluid motion. Strange as it may appear Dyo most nearly never uses his zanpaktou for defense or blocking, but instead knocking away attacks with an open palm or a swift kick. Once deflecting or dodging an attack he takes immediate advantage of his superior reach, quickly striking against his enemy with zanpaktou and bala, turning the tides in a flash and ending the fight as quickly as it began.

The worst moment in combat for those he fights is in his resureccion. His physical capabilities more than tripled he displays his mastery of combat in the best way. In a single instant he would spawn "speed clones", distracting and harming his enemy before moving in from an unseen location, striking at their vital organs and ripping away their flesh in massive chunks. Seen as the ideal warrior in his resureccion he can act and attack with little to no fear of injury. His armor deflecting nearly any attacks that would strike him and his capability of ripping through flesh and bone as though it were nothing more than paper, make him a true threat to any enemy, regardless of the difference in power.
