Personality: Up-beat, and somewhat carefree, but is often prone to bouts with depression, most of which is due to his past.
Appearance: Sky blue hair, reaching the bottom of his shoulder blades, which he usually has tied into a pony-tail, eyes as green as an emerald. Sometimes, the even appear to turn into cat-like slits, but he plays this off as a trick of the light. His eyes though, despite they're youthful appearance, have a weathered look to them as well, as if they belong to someone one who has seen much in his life. This is much the same with his facial features. Some other locks of his hair are done with beads of some sort, to show he has been to many different places. He still wears his original captains robe, with has a golden edge to it, which seems to ripple, almost like water, whenever it moves. His shinigami robes also feature a hood, which he usually keeps up to prevent people from recognizing him.
History/Background: Although he does not openly speak about it, he is only half shingami, the other half is ryu. His mother was taken by his father originally to be a human shield, but after a time, found feelings for each other, though as a western ryu, his father had already harbored such feelings. Several years after he was born, Azaryu, his father, died protecting Ayumi, his mother, and him from a wandering group of espada. His mother, whom was assumed to be dead to all but some old friend, fled back to the 12th division, of which she was a former captain. There she stayed in solitude, while still raising Tsonoryu, the call Azetsu, after his father's brother. Sadly, several years after that, she to past away. Some say she died of a broken heart, and it was a wonder she held on as long as she did. There after, he was taken in by Yamamoto's parents, as a last request from Ayumi. Many years after, they had both become prominant shinigami and were expected to make captains as soon as they graduated. Even so, he was always a bit of an outcast, for he exhibited many unusual abilites such and breathing fire, fire a golden cero-like blast from his mouth, and enhanced sense and physical prowess. Even so, he was still highly looked upon by his teachers, who could see his potential. He was also known to be quite the ladies man. The girls of the accademy always considered him one of the best looking guys in "school", or so he heard (when he listened to them whispering). He eventually won the heart of the prettiest girl, Kiyume Akazi, whom found they had alot in common. He was originally nominated for head captain over Yama, but declined, saying that Yama would do the post its due. He then took up the position of squad 3 captain. Considering the requirements for being in this line of work, he came up with many allises, in cluding Tsonoryu. Having been a childhood friend of Yamamoto, Tsonoryu has seen many things, both miraculous, and terrible over the years. Everything seemed to be going well for him, even getting the girl he'd always been seen staring at at academy. For a time, everything was good, until in an uncontrolable madness, he killed Kiyume. He disappeared and was found on the cliff top where his mother was burried several days later. Some people were suspcious if his grief was real, even thoough there was nothing tying him to the crime (yama had seen to that). The only people still living whom know the truth behind this event are himself and Yamamoto. Not even the Central 46 know about it. He soon abdicated his position as captain to his lieutenant, whom he knew would do wonderful. He then disappeared for a number of years, going on a soul search as he put it, and continues to do so, showing up every now and then to catch up with old friends, and see how things have changed since he was away. It's said that there are several others in the soul societies around the world that have a similar ability. Only Tsonoryu knows the truth to this.
