| Name: Yoshitoki Takimoto
Race: Shinigami
Age: 100 (as i posted below, i didn't know the default age was 100 xD)
Visual Age: 16
Gender: Male
Division: 7th Division
Personality: - After dying at such a young age, Takimoto has continued with some characteristics of the teenager's personality. Focusing on his daily basis, the teenager is a tadbit childish, spending his time joking around and not being able to maintain a serious conversation. This is mainly because he doesn't feel some topics are to be considered dead serious and tries to lighten their grade of seriousness with jokes and some awkward comments. That being the downside of this young Shinigami's personality, he still has another side, one seen in battlefield and very rare moments of conversations which he actually thinks they are important. Sometimes however, he might seem serious just to then add a small joke in the end, which results in a big smack to the face... Not surprisingly enough.
- Takimoto's other side faces things with a more serious look, his speech changing to that of an apparent adult. As a teenager, he has the trait of irreverance, always wanting to be different, and if he sets a goal in his mind, the young man is sure to take any action all the way, for the cause of accomplishing that goal. Both in battle and troubling times, he resides in thorough and critical thinking, unveilling this one, unique side from him.
- In an overall look, Takimoto is a laid back and calm character, tending to soft, yet childish jokes most of the times, to a complete make-over in battle and most serious moments, showing his "adult" side. Appearance: This young man is an average looking person, being able to blend in in most social groups. He is 1,76 meters tall and bright brown-haired, with soft, glittering brown eyes and a sturdy nose. The teenager has a scar from the left side of his chin all the way to that side's nipple. He has a tanned skin and his hair's characteristic is of being short and messy most of the times.
History/Background:
Life in the Human World: Takimoto wasn't what you could call an "average person". Not after you got to know him at least. The teenager was an incredibly smart student, although he did not have the will to focus on his schoolwork. His teachers would tell that themselves to his parents, who were mad at him for not applying his time to things that would matter to normal people. No, Takimoto was more thoughtful of other things, especially of Kendo and Karate, which fascinated him a lot. He had been part of a martial arts school for a while, but then he gave up, preferring to train alone at home. This made his father mad, mostly due to the fact that Taki did not study at all, nor he did any housechores. A somewhat level of concern and worry for the young man was when his mother found notebooks spread around his bedroom, explaining philosophical theories and other related topics to that of Philosophy. If Takimoto had time for this, why couldn't he have time to study? Confronted with such findings, the boy simply took this matter seriously, not because he thought his family was right, quite the opposite.
"What is it with you messing with my stuff? I have my privacy and I would like you not to trespass it. School is boring for me, sitting there for a whole day is not profitable and I learn more with what I write and read than actually by my teachers. All they can do is give me their lifetime experience... That is why I go to school."
Leaving his parents speechless for the very first time, Takimoto walked back to his room. Something had happened that day, something that made the young man's family change towards him and his actions... The following days of his life were quite... Cheerful...
Death and the Soul Society, Joining the Ranks of the Shinigami:
Takimoto had stayed longer at school for some school-related work. He thought that if his parents had changed their opinion about him, he should do something to make it up for them, to make them feel proud. He decided to go through with school and get a diploma, just to make his parents smile. But, in his walk home, surrounded by the dark mist that veilled the night, the teenager felt a deep stab on his backs. A blade had pierced through his body and reached his spine. Falling to the ground, his eyes became heavier and himself... Sleepy...
Killed by a junky looking for money just to buy some drugs. Takimoto was shocked at his death, which was quite normal to anyone who had just died in a matter of seconds, his life slipping away from his fingertips like silk. He went to his own funeral, watching his family mourn his death. He wanted to say he was alright so badly, that there was no need to keep crying. The teenager had to be smacked in the head with yet another death, that of his father. The man had drank too many alcohol the night of his son's funeral and died in a car accident. This just made Takimoto angrier at the man who killed him.
Wandering the streets of his former homeland, Takimoto's suffering and pain increased to levels only one in his situation could feel. Not only that, but he had been recently chased by monsters he could not describe and actually managed to run away from them for quite some time. However, the young man's grief was too much, he now felt like being taken away. There was no point in staying, was there? That was when... He came...
Stumbling through those same streets, Takimoto met another monster. This time he was not affraid, he just wanted this to end rather quickly. The Hollow charged at him, savouring the future moments in which it would savour the lost soul. The teenager closed his eyes, his legs shaking as there was nothing he could actually do. However, there was just silence. He felt a warm touch on his left shoulder, which he reacted to by turning his face towards it. Taki opened his eyes slowly and found a hand on his shoulder... Oddly enough... He turned his face forwards in a slow motion, following the arm to a tall man's body. His eyes widened of awe as this man was around two meters tall, if not taller, and had a long black uniform. On the left side of his waist was a sheathed katana with a white hilt.
"Huh... Who... Are you?"
Asked the young man, almost speechless. The apparent warrior smiled at Takimoto and brought his left hand to the hilt of the sword, slowly taking its end towards the boy's forehead.
"Once you reach the Soul Society, find me... Your days as Shinigami will begin soon..."
The boy's eyes widened as he heard the word shinigami. Was this actually true? When he felt the tap of the hilt on his forehead, an engulfing light surrounded him, taking Takimoto to another world... The Soul Society. It didn't take long for him to be taken from the Rokungai and into the Seireitei by that same Shinigami, who teached him the basics of being what he had died to become... A Soul Reaper. After such basic teaching was done, Takimoto recieved his own Shinigami uniform and was assigned to the 7th Division of the Gotei 13. This is his story... And it starts now.
