Name: Kya (Kerberos Aeon Yggdrasil, actually Kalais Aeon Yggdrasil, but next to no one knows that)
Race: Quincy
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Personality: A younger brother, attached, sometimes to the point of annoyance? That's really the only way to summarize Kya's personality. Though technically adopted, he is extremely attached to both Nya and Mya, though Nya is more attached to Mya than he is. Because of the years without parents or other outside relations, he has practically completely forgotten about the adoption part, and so thinks of the two as biological siblings. Aside from that, he is kind-hearted, if not distant, quite contrary to Mya, and as such, sometimes, though rarely, fails to accomplish tasks due to his passiveness in the sense of not wanting to hurt others. Generally, he will still try his best at everything he does, but sometimes, he will feel too bad about what he has to do and will abandon it, though, as mentioned earlier, those cases are rare due to the training he recieved unter the Yggdrasil Initiative. He escaped at the same age as his sisters did (refer to history), but didn't have the same training they did and, as such, is physically weaker than the two, and is somewhat dependant on them. He's also quite...innocent, if you catch my drift. Moral of the story, he's more likely to spare you than his sisters, but don't count on it.
Background/History: Several years ago, the government began a program, titled the Yggdrasil Initiative supervised under the company TriX. It's goal was to produce artificial Quincies or as the project called them, "Aeons". Though the program did manage to achieve it's goal, it had an extremely high failure rate almost 90%, and only a handful of the engineered Quincies managed to survive creation, not to mention be fit to fight. In the end, the project was scrapped, though the existing Aeons were watched carefully, and trained. The government planned on them being obedient soldiers for them; as they were stronger than Quincy who were brought up similarly, only without Yggdrasil; though over the years, some escaped. Those who stayed were treated like soldiers always in the presence of a drill sergeant, so who can blame them?
As super soldiers the Aeons were genetically engineered for excellence to be better than both normal humans and Quincy alike. To achieve this with as little visible side affects as possible the government constructed a virus, to modify the unique genetic structure of each Aeon. As a result, most Aeons did not end up manifesting their Quincy power as a bow, but in other forms. Even so, this virus caused their bodies to be far more durable than normal humans. Where as a normal human would need around 12 pounds of pressure to get a broken bone, an Aeon would not break a bone until 36 pounds of pressure had been induced. Increased muscle density, meaning more strength per square inch, increased reflexes to the point where they could keep pace with even the most elite of Quincy.
Kalais was one of the successful ones, and due to his wings, was named after a man who supposedly had them. As wings were quite...uncommon, he usually preferred to hide them, and the fact he had them. As he was called Kya, he told everyone that the K actually stood for Kerberos, and as such, his secret was protected from all but his creators. He was soon sent to an accelerated program at the age of 8. Here he learned to use fire arms of all kinds, explosives and began studying the spiritual world as well. He learned about the quincy, how they were different from him, about hollow and the shingami that fought them. Though being only human Intel, they could find out only the most basic of facts. (Basically what you know before the save Rukia in SS arc). Life was hard though. Aeons frequently stepped on each other to rise in the ranks, it was not uncommon for one of the younger Aeons to be killed in “accidents” set up if they could potentially be stronger than the older kids. Luckily, no one had ever suspected him of ever being extraordinarily powerful, not that he was, and as such, he managed to survive, even though many others fell around him.
Over time, he began wondering if there was anything but the place in which he lived, and worked. He became secretly obsessed with an outside world, and that had affected his working. Noticed, he was picked out and interrogated, and as such, revealed his thoughts and was severely punished. This punishment was ongoing, and so, when he heard of there being escaped Aeons, he immediately began to prepare to leave. He spent all his free time poking around secretly, trying to discover any weaknesses and formulating a plan. From Mya and Nya's escape, years previous, the guards near the alarms and main control room were increased, as to prevent the same thing from happening. This, however, meant there were less guards around the perimeter, and he soon spotted a gaping hole in their patrols.
A few days later, he hit 11 years of age, and so, out of slight mercy, his punishment was held back. Unfortunately for the government, this was a terrible mistake for them, and a great gain for him, as he took advantage of that night to slip away into the darkness, exploiting the opening he had discovered. The next morning, he was gone, and no one knew where he was.
For a few days, he wandered, attempting to avoid towns as much as he could, until hunger eventually overtook him. He went to a small town, where there happened to be a circus. He found a poster and stared at it for a moment, reading it, before he decided it was perfect. This particular circus had free food, though, of course, the better things costed you. In addition, there would have been many spectators, and so, he decided that it would be a safe place to gather materials. He followed the crowd, being as inconspicuous as possible, as he entered the tent. Scanning around the area, he quickly found what he was looking for, and moved quickly towards it. He figured that if he began to eat everything there, that WOULD be quite suspicious, so he simply took a bit and went to sit, eating. He had planned on returning for more soon after wards, but the show had started, and had arrived at a point where there were two twins, preforming amazing acrobatic acts. He was mesmerized, and forgot all about his hunger. Curiously, he felt a hint of spiritual pressure. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was coming from the performers. The type of reiatsu felt quite familiar, when it struck him a moment later. It reminded him strongly of Quincies, or more specifically, Aeons. Could they be escaped Aeons, like he was? He resolved to find out, and so, he stayed for the remainder of the show, waiting for a moment to find them.
After the show, he stayed for a short while, while all the spectators left, and the circus crew began to pack their things to continue along. In this time, he snuck towards the signature and found the twins. He had many questions, but didn't know how to put them so all he did for a moment was stare. One of the twins started to look like she was going to send him away, but paused. When they made the decision to bring him along, he smiled wide and hugged her (This was Mya, for the record) saying quietly, though audibly, and almost to himself,
"Onee-sama...".
For the next two years, he simply stayed with the twins in he circus, doing some similar training in the circus. When Mya and Nya grew to 18 years, they left and brought him along with them.
