Personality: At first glance, she seems to act no different than a child. She is energetic and kind almost to a fault. Thus, she seems very naive and innocent. She is also very curious about things, which seems to add to her childlike innocence. However, despite all this, there is another side of her, which is a little more sly than she allows people to see, and she has a habit of causing a bit of trouble, intentional or otherwise.

History/Background: Stumbling her way back home from an errand, Shira found herself face to face with something that would change her life forever. She was the youngest child of the Hakura family, and she was returning from an errand when she came home to see her home up in crimson flames. She stood there in shocked horror as the flames devoured her noble house, and anything within it. Before the strength in her legs left her, however, she could make something else out that was... burning. To her absolute horror, it was a body laying not far from her very own home.

That was when her strength left her and she collapsed to her knees, trembling. That person by her home, she couldn't tell whom it was since they were already pretty burnt, was dead... Was the rest of her family dead? Were her elder brothers dead as well? Was she alone? The chilling silence, and the crackling of the flames was her only answer and a few tears fell from her eyes as she shakily got to her feet before she turned around and forced herself to walk in the opposite direction, only to collapse again not far away, feeling somewhat ill.

After the fire died down, she returned to survey the wreckage, and the silence only disturbed her even more. She hated the thought of being alone, but she begrudgingly accepted it. There was no sight of her brothers, or the rest of her family, so the young Hakura girl had no choice. She turned around and left for the last time, choosing to bury the pain deep within her heart and never revisit it again. Time passed and she roamed the soul society with nowhere to go, becoming better at hiding any and all pain she bore as the centuries wore on. After a while, she grew weary of not doing anything useful and enrolled herself at the academy in order to become a Shinigami, unaware that there were survivors already among the Gotei 13.
