Sealed Zanpakuto: While sealed, it is a straight katana of ordinary length whose edge may seem a tad bit jagged towards the end/top. The hilt and guard appear to be of an eerie sort of green color which has a curved point jutting in the upward direction in the back and pointed downward in the front. The handle is also green, but it has been wrapped in black to increase the ease of the grip.

Shikai: Nothing from the hilt down changes, except that the pommel attains a kunai point. As for the blade, that part is replaced by a series of ball bearing-like metal spheres, all of which have the potential to fly in any direction equally as they hover there. Further comments on appearance and method of wielding are covered in the ability section.

Shikai Ability: Upon release, the blade is transmuted into 30-to-50 ball bearing projectiles. They can be free-floating or attached to each other when released. The notion here is that Shiranai could release, the blade of his sword seems to vanish, and then all hell breaks loose if he so desires. What is happening is this... The orbs are directed and controlled via manipulation of his reiatsu. Shikai releases of this style and powers similar in other beings are not unknown. They fly like bullets, pounding into the target at great speed. Then, they return to sender to form a sphere-made flail at the end of the Zanpakuto's hilt, held in place by the reiatsu controlling them to await the next deployment. They need to re-organize after every lightning-quick salvo so Shiranai can keep track of them in mind. (Any sphere motion slower than this is easier to handle and thus he can move the lot of them freely UNTIL they are shot at high-speed.) After being returned to a waiting state, the orbs must cool down for 2 posts, and this is ONLY after they are back near Shiranai. Essentially, he is the recharge point.
