Name: Olidammaru, Marad
Rank: Master Quincy
Age: 17
Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Gender: Male
Personality: Marad is an extremely random person. In most situations and locations he simply looks for one or any combination of these three things; alcohol, women, and/or good music. Marad is a very tolerant person that is accepting of most races, meaning that he can deal with anyone but a soul reaper. But most of all Marad is just a completely loyal person to his own kind. In other words, if any situation arose that may be perceived as a threat to any other Quincy, Marad would come running as fast as he could to help as much as he could. And he can do quite a bit.

History:
The birth of Marad was a glorious but sad moment in the eyes of old Tandoku. The dying words of his only child was “teach Marad the old ancient way’s…..” the young mother had passed away to the SS. Marad’s parents are of the unknown the mother died of his birth and his father was never mentioned to him. Marad was told the reason for his fathers disappearance was that he had discovered that his wife was a quincy for he was not one himself which made Marad a half quincy from his mother’s side.
Marad lived in the country of Germany with his grandfather they live isolated from the other villages next to the mountains but next to the forest edge. Tandoku being at his old age trained Marad at the age of 7 to use a bow to hunt and track deer to hunt for the food they need to eat. Tandoku was surprised that Marad could hit the center of the target flawlessly on his first try. And his trackings skills are surpassing even his own. In conclusion he left the hunting for Marad.
Marad had gone down to the river (that is located deep within the forest) to get water for his grandfather a daily chore he does. Though Marad does his chores with haste majority of the time; today he thought that he could have some fan throwing some stones to see how far he can throw it. The strangest thing happened after the 3rd stone was thrown the water had exploded which was very unusual and this had frightened Marad that he ran home told Tandoku what had happened and Tandoku told Marad about his special quincy powers and they should start training immediately.
Marad after discovering his powers started a strict training everyday Marad would have to climb up the mountain and find the biggest boulder and shoot as many arrows it takes to obliterate it in a million pieces. But as time went on Marad came to realize that the biggest boulder came in the same spot everyday and it was the same size as before. Tandoku told Marad “This exercise will help you to help you increase your power.” “My power?” Marad had asked with a confused look on his face. “Yes one day you shall obliterate that bolder with just one arrow because you have such great aim that is it makes it more important to increase your power to even surpass my own ability for you have done so much already in such a short time to have mastered the art of accuracy.” Which in time after Marad was able to do as Tandoku had said, he would have to obliterate more than one a day until he had used most of his daily energy.
One day the pair of Quincy were exposed to the one flaw in their way of life, defenselessness in a large scale attack. A large group consisting of exactly one hundred and sixteen hollows attacked the small cabin. Marad knew the number because he counted each time he or his grandfather sent one to oblivion. Throughout the battle the two stood back to back to provide a somewhat defense, but in the end they still failed. Although they were able to win the battle Marad was completely at a loss of spiritual energy and Tandoku had a slightly more serious injury. He was missing the majority of his soul. At the end of the fight there was only one hollow left, an aduches, and it snuck up and tackled Tandoku. Once Marad saw that his grandfather was under attack he raised his bow and tried to produce one more arrow, but failed, and now the hollow knew that the younger quincy could not harm him it decided to do something to keep his after meal snack from running away while he finished eating. Satisfied in the belief that the old man was not able to move he raised up and pounced on the boy. “Oh no, this can’t be the end. Not like this,” thought Marad as the hollow pinned him down and lowered his horrible jaws down upon the young Quincy. Then, just as the terrible evil beast was about to devour Marad’s soul an arrow pierced its skull like mask and it began to dissolve. Marad turned to his grandfather to see that he was missing his entire left arm. “Don’t worry child,” said Tandoku calmly taking in very short winded breaths, “the beast did not take enough of me to steal my life just yet.” Then Marad passed out and Tandoku fell over from blood loss.
When Marad had waked up Tandoku was lying on his bed with a diary which he has kept close to him every day. Marad took the diary and read the most recent log which Marad read:” My wounds are bad my grandson is knocked out and I can hardly move my only choice is to send Marad to my old friend Asal for help. “As soon as Marad had read these words the book was snapped shut and Tandoku grabbed the book back. “So I assume you read what you need to do Marad? And you have no clue who Asal is do you?” “No I don’t Tandoku.” Marad admitted. “Well Asal is an old friend of mine who had helped me when I traveled when I was younger we had some adventures as you could say.” “What kind of adventures Tandoku?” “for another time Marad you must go to Scotland you can find the trail I’ve trained you well so you should have no problem at all now go no more question for little time I have left to live before I too like your mother die and give this letter to Asal as well.
After a long journey Marad made it to Scotland he found a group of young teenagers like himself and one overweight older man sitting observing the young archers with interest until Marad had walked up to him and said with haste “Are you Asal my grandfather sent me to you to get help.” Marad handed him the letter still sealed with the Quincy symbol which Asal recognized the symbol instantly and rip open the letter and with full intention said I cannot do anything now I must stay with my son’s but I can send you to my nephew Linkin, he can help you find what you seek but first give this letter to him as Asal handed Marad a dirty looking page sealed with a smudged paste that Marad could not make out what the symbol was suppose to be. And then he left immediately towards the direction Asal had pointed towards.
When Marad arrived at the location specified he saw no trace of anyone living there. All he saw was an empty cave that seemed to be undisturbed for many years. “Hello,” called Marad, “I’m looking for someone called Linkin. I was sent by Asal to receive help.” As he said this a person holding a spirit bow had an arrow pointed at the back of his neck. Marad stood completely still and stared into space as he began to speak but was cut off before he actually got out any words. “So, my uncle sent you. I thought I told him to leave me alone until I finished and returned.” Came the voice of the possible attacker, “Well I’m sure he gave you a letter, so hand it over.” Marad slowly reached for the letter in his pocket and handed it to who he assumed was Linkin. After seeing the sealed note Linkin lowed his bow. After a few seconds that it took Linkin to look over the letter he looked back at Marad he said “if you want my help you must first do something for me.” “Anything just tell me” “Watch my stuff and wait here as soon as I come back come with me to Japan there you will get what you have been looking for.” “As you say Linkin I will follow you. “ Just as Marad said these words Linkin left.
A few hours later when Linkin had returned they left for the closest town to get on a plane to head to Karakura town. And for the next six months Linkin trained him in order to complete his Quincy powers. Then Linkin sent Mared away to find his own way in the world but asked him to stay local in case the need for his unique skills ever arose.

Sample Chapter: As Marad was kneeling on the ground sensing for his prey talking to himself as usual “you have all this power and yet you can’t find one little hollow thats pretty pathetic ya know.” When Marad started in a sprint in a random direction “I found you 10 clicks’ away you dirty rat your dragging me away from my favorite things.” Marad without breaking a sweat he had out running the current speed of the lone hollow. When Marad reached the top of a tall hill Marad could see the medium size hollow still running away “why must my prey always run from me?” Marad said with a little laughed bringing his bow up and shot right away with flying speed toward its target. Right before the arrow hit its target the hollow looked back to see if it was being followed to find out that an arrow had strikes him right in between his eyes. The hollow screamed in pain as it finished into thin air as peddles flying away in a mass of flowers. As Marad turned to walk back home “Now back to my fun although it did give me a good chase for once.”
