Appearance: Setoshi looks like a young man, his black shaggy hair and narrow face is slanted down into a powerful curved jawline; various facial expressions bring different looks into perspective for him. Setoshi has faded blue eyes and black hair, He often goes with his own choice of clothing usually not following the fashion of society. He wears the normal Shinigami Kimono with the 12th Division band around his arm, his skin is a light tan tone that suites him well on most occasions.

Personality: Setoshi is the quiet type, he usually keeps his thoughts well to himself but when asked his opinion is well thought out and but sometimes not the right thing to say. He would rely more on thinking out strategies then fighting their opponent with out knowing some openings they can use to strike but at some points when he gets angry he'll overreact and strike without coming to his senses. This Shinigami hates to hold grudges though, if he is mad one day at a person doesn't mean he'll still be mad the next. He generally looks out for other people that seem unable to defend themselves and tries to do his best to make things better for them, making him really soft at heart for souls sometimes. His usual non-talkative attitude doesn't make him the best person to spend time with but if he has trust in someone and truly cares about them he will speak more often to them and really open up to his thoughts and tell what memories of his past disturbs him. Setoshi is a strong fighter and partner for his height, he may look like weak when seen through the eyes of an opponent but he is very athletic, and strong.

Specialties:

History: Setoshi grew up in a village with his older sister and his parents. In the village and Setoshi had no friends. Regardless, the Yoi family where somewhat at peace, they were farmers. Setoshi was always trying to do his best to make friends but no matter what what he did they village kids saw him as a mysterious child. His Older sister always was there to comfort until the day when he was gathering wood for his father, he suddenly began coughing up blood. He made it home with his father's lumber and collapsed, the village doctor came to their home and diagnosed Setoshi in which they found out he had Tuberculosis. Then the day came while Setoshi was out playing in the forest when his Tuberculosis struck and Setoshi collapsed onto the floor, not realizing it but Setoshi had died.

Setoshi woke up cold,and alone. He wandered around in the woods hoping to find his way to his family. But soon he realized that the village was gone. As he stood there, he heard footsteps, and looked up, it was a man in a black robe. He motioned him to follow him.

As he learned that his new home was the soul society, he was shocked and sad to know that he died. Immediately he ran away from the man only to be caught in an instant, the man began explaining what has happen to him. After several of explanation Setoshi was finally calm and followed the man, he lead him all the way to the Academy to become a Soul Reaper there he learned and mastered, Bakudo, Hado, sword fighting, and hand to hand combat at the age of Eleven. He then realized that his greatest skill was in his research. He mostly spent his days in the library studying, that is until one day when his class were sent to different locations, on that day Setoshi's class was taught the Soul Burials. while meditating the students began learning to communicate with the spirit of their Zanpakuto and are prepared for the general duties of a Shinigami, during his meditation Setoshi was focusing more on his past while doing his Soul Burial and his inner world was more then he expected.

Setoshi graduated from the Academy at the age of Sixteen and was recruited into the Gotei 13, and was placed in the 12th Division of Research and Development.

Sample Chapter: Setoshi sat in the forest around a fire staring deeply into it. He sat there reminiscing about his past and how far he had come since the academy. He sighs heavily at the thought knowing that his dream of being a Captain. He senses high amounts of reiatsu approaching, it stirs him from his trance and he quickly stands drawing his sword. Something walks out of the bushes dressed in captains robes, Setoshi quickly lowers his blade and bows to his captain before sitting back down by the fire as the captain joins him by the fire. The captain tries to engage in idle conversation but Setoshi being the quiet type only stood there and nodded to certain points.

His Captain sighs heavily and gets up and starts poking at him with his blade handle, When he turned around the captain tells him that sooner or later he'll have to work with groups. Upon returning to the Seretei, Setoshi finds it in utter chaos. He Stops and asks a soul reaper running by " Whats going on here" The soul reaper replied " Were under attack". Setoshi looked at him slightly puzzled. "Don't stand there and look stupid" He says, Setoshi upon entering his 12th squads barracks he observes the same scene as he found outside. Hollows and wreckage. He face palms at the site of this. He mutters to himself " The captain is going to kill me for what they've one to this place". He starts looking for any survivors of his squad and find s two squads surrounded by hollows, Setoshi rushes towards the hollow unaware he might get hurt and performs multiple Hado techniques to clear them out. The Hollows disintegrate.

Setoshi nods at his fellow reapers and heads off towards the Research and Development labs. On his way to the lab he is confronted by one of the of leading arrancars. Wasting no time Setoshi draws his zanpakuto, but is interrupted by his illness as it causes to lose balance and fall. He quickly begins coughing up blood as the arrancar soon begins to charge towards him. His Captain appears at Setoshi's side as he blocks the Arrancar's blade," Don't worry Setoshi....I'll handle get out of here". Setoshi stood while he covered his mouth in pain and stood next to his captain with his blade drawn " I'm not leaving your side captain just because of my illness" He said smiling as wiped the blood of his mouth. His captain laughed at how anxious Setoshi was even though he was pushing his limit. Then he reaches out and grabs the attackers with his hand. The attacker looks shocked, Setoshi throws a Hado at the arrancar sending him back. Setoshi stands his ground waiting for the right moment to attack, Finally Setoshi swings his blade and cuts the arrancar's arm off. The Arrancar yelled in pain as Setoshi fell to his knees from his illness slowly hurting him then collapses. He awakes on a bed surrounded by his captain and other friends, upon waking he asks what happen his captain explains that he lost consciousness during his fight and that he was safely taken to 4th Division to be healed, hearing that he felt ashamed as he looked at his bandage wrapped though he asked why he was wrapped in bandages his captain looked away and replied that while getting him to the 4th barracks he was dropped and crashed through a wall. Setoshi sooner recovered from his injury but not from his Tuberculosis which he didn't mind knowing he'll soon find a cure for it.

Approved as the new Lt of the 12th Division.
