Versus Maneki Neko (CLOSED)

In the middle of SAHARA DESERT!

Just sand for as far as the eye can see! Couple of rocks, not much vegetation ... oh and huge sand dunes every now and then.

Ajaket sat lazily, head drooping as he enjoyed the heat and slowly nodding off into sleep. He liked this place .... it was so warm and comfy, though most humans seemed to disagree with him.

He noted the shinigami.

It was fairly obvious to detect him, after all this desert was in the midst of nowhere ... so other spiritually powerful beings didn't lurk here.

The Espada's left eyes opened up ... and noted that the shinigami was in front of him ... and ... was ... throwing ... a rock? The Espada shifted a bit as the rock flew towards him, his right hand which had formerly been tattooed(the scar was still present, a discolored patch of skin) was rubbing his eyes as he yawned noisily. And still the rock sailed towards him, coming close to his face while his eyes were shut.

And at the last moment, although it was intentionally done, Aja's left hand shot up in such a swift motion one would be a little taken aback and gripped ahold of decent size rock. His iron-skinned fingers had impaled their way into the small stone, while his right hand continued rubbing.

But he was soon finished, and rose to his feet.

"Lose something, shinigami?" he spat out bitterly, the contempt in his voice obviously clear as his eyes glared at the black-robed one. Well actually, it wasn't fair to say the shinigami was black-robed, since Aja was wearing a black jacket after all. Oh well. With a simple flick of his hand, he returned the stone back to the shinigami, although he was not intending the rock to hit him, just getting rid of the useless thing.

With his left hand free, he slowly cracked his fists ... cursing mentally as he realized his blade wasn't with him. The Espada continued cursing, but still readied himself ... stepping into a defensive stance with his fists ready and his right side towards the enemy. Captain or not, these days Shinigami could be surprisingly tough opponents ... it paid to be cautious. All the while, his left hand which was kept behind and clenched, gathered energy for a barrage of balas.

The shinigami really wanted to fight, it seemed. That irritated the Espada ... he was expecting the shinigami to come first, but.

No, instead he had released his Zanpakuto, that abomniable blade.

"He's not coming to attack? Fine, then! I'LL GO ON THE OFFENSIVE!!" he blazed aloud in his mind, fury welling up within him as his hate for the shinigami fueled his battle spirit. His fists were still clenched, but they trembled slightly. And then, right before he went away on attacking, he snapped.

His eyes widened slightly as they gave the most god-awful hateful gaze he could give, veins popped across his head and throbbed immensely as his wrath was beginning to affect his own mind. In short, it was like a cartoon character getting angry ... but there was nothing cartoony about what happened next.


His sonido brought him in front of his enemy, and he had done it without breaking his stance ... there had been a reason why he had cleaned his eyes with the back of his right hand, and it had been clenched. He had prepared this little trick a while before the shinigami had arrived, and a fine spray of desert sand was blasted in front of the shinigami's face. But, this was just the start! His clenched left hand was already ready, and just as he unleashed the small sand storm, his gattling balas were fired away(about six or seven) at the shinigami, and at this range most were BOUND to hit home. The only cost behind this move was that Aja was opening himself up to a hit by the shinigami, but it wouldn't matter ... he was a masochist, pain meant nothing if he could butcher a detestable 'Death God'.

It wasn't easy to get sand out of one's eye, Aja knew that from experience. Actually, he was just standing there in all his glory, evil gazing down at Maneki. DARING him to hit him. He wanted to feel this little bastard's punch so badly, that he was going to just STAND there and let him hit.

May god bless the poor bastard's soul, for his punch was towards his stomache ... around the abdomen, slightly above ... and directly through his hollow hole. SHRRRIP went his jacket and shirt as the punch harmlessly passed through hole and through Aja's clothes. Ajaket gasped aloud, acting as though he was injured. ... Pity.

"You .. little ... BASTARD! I'LL KILL YOU! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SHIRT!" he yelled aloud, no doubt blowing in the eardrums of his opponent as his bellowing voice was sounded not too far away from this fool. And besides, his arm was a little bit stuck within him.

But, this was going to be the end. The fool's weapon was no longer an extension but rather a close range melee based one ... and Ajaket was a Hand-To-Hand specialist. In a sudden motion, as his arms were still closeby to his body, he grabbed ahold of the arm now inside his hollow whole ... his nails digging through the fabric of the sleeve of the shinigami's uniform as he roughly took ahold with his left hand. But this was just the beginning.

Afterall, the boy's punch had not stricken anything solid ... so there was no surface from which he could push his arm off so as to avoid it getting grabbed by Ajaket. And the fool didn't have a proper combat training, it seemed, as his body had shifted with the punch, which meant he was intending for this blow to hit ... and if it did, it probably would've been painful. But alas, all was for naught. His arm was now caught in Aja's death grip, and he would be stuck and at the mercy of the cruel and wicked Espada.

Ajaket knew no mercy nor no patience, his right hand was already good to go, faster than his mind could think even! As though it were a reflex it drew back suddenly, and like a cannon it launched a bala forward, aimed directly for the head of his foe. He mentally cursed at his choice, seeing as how a Cero would've been more deadly and could've killed the enemy, but ... he wanted to see him suffer.

Like HELL this was supposed to be difficult.

By the heavens, Ajaket cursed aloud for a moment as the electric current from the first kido pretty much zapped him ... but thankfully, the lack of an incantation and it's considerably low number didn't make it extremely severe ... but now his whole body was aching!

You'll pay for that, shinigami brat!" he spat out bitterly, just as he spied the finger from the Shinigami's free hand. One thought 'ah god damn it' was in Aja's mind. And his arm was still kind of sore from the other Hado! Curses!

"hado #4 Byakurai" It was a faint whisper ... but Ajaket's ears, as all his senses were heightened in his agitated and enraged state, picked it up quite clearly. Besides, their faces were rather too close for comfort.

The number was a tip-off! Ajaket had fought against plenty of shinigami to have memorized some of their Kido ... and #4 was one of a particular bad experience. A bolt of pale lightning that pierces through even Hierro. Ajaket twitched slightly, numb from the #11. But his eyes nearly exploded as he lashed out with his right hand. An 'upset punch' was one of the different names for it ... it was more of an uppercut used in certain martial arts to re-direct an oncoming enemy strike. Ajaket was the Espada's Hand to Hand specialist! He didn't get his Resureccion until only a couple centuries ago!

When he heard the number, the memories were enough for him to instictively lash out. The upset punch would have gotten the attention of his opponent, so whether he actually knocked the hand(although his trajectory was perfect and without fault) or his enemy recoiled ... the lightning beam sailed away, missing his head by less than a centimeter. The crackling energy of it singed his hair somewhat ... and maybe left a mark on the side of his head ... but no serious injury or sign of brain damage.

But ... that ... was ... it.

"Fucking ... shinigami ... cunt!" he snapped out at the clearly younger brat ... his own crimson orbs glared right into the depths of the opposing red ones. Somewhere in the recesses of Aja's mind ... he asked himself 'This kid has red-colored eyes as well? ... hunh?' But for now, it wouldn't matter. After his most recent insult, it was time for Ajaket to take some desperate measures. He clamped his mouth shut, appearing to be grinding or gritting his teeth. Really, he had bit his tongue, and the acrid taste of blood was welling up in his throat. But that was all well and good, as he gathered destructive energies about his body ... soon they concentrated in his mouth, as a small crimson light began to shine from the cavern-like hole there. It would not be long until the blow would be ready. And it would be unleashed right into the face of his fool of an opponent.

Like the lightning bolt, he jerked his knee forward, right into the gut of the shinigami. Why? Because one had was caught(Aja's left hand still hand an impassive grip upon it) and the other was currently in the air, regardless of whether Aja had hit it or not. The clear answer to the martial arts specialist and best unarmed combat fighter? Knee him. It's quick, it's effective, it's painful ... and it's hard to block.

While the knee was launched forward, Ajaket's (right) hand snaked forward, intending to place an iron grip on his enemy's left shoulder ... this was to prevent him from moving away from the knee(although it shot up so quickly and from below that it would be difficult to notice in the first place) and also to prepare for another oncoming attack that was soon following ... provided his arm reached. But, given the state of his opponent's arms, it seemed like his own hand would clamp down like a viper's bite ... and not let go. Besides, he didn't have far to maneuver, since one arm was caught ... and Ajaket, with all his testosterone and adrenaline(not to mention the sheer pleasure pain gave him) would stop at nothing to immobilize his target.

The shinigami obviously wasn't suited for combat. Maybe he was 4th Division? Might explain why he fell into such an overly simple trap, one that would cost him his life!

The knee was a success! A simple and sudden with the impact of a boulder crash was contacted into the fool's gut, which would clearly leave either a mark or a painful reminder for the next few seconds! Aja's right hand also succeeded in lashing out, and impaling his fingers so as to lock his iron-grip into the left shoulder of his opponent. With both of his hands now in place to keep his opponent anchored, and undoubtedly reeling from the sudden heavy blow to his gut, the Espada let loose his fool fury.

At the cost of chomping off his own tongue and perhaps a large portion of the flesh inside his mouth, he had succeeded in generating a Gran Rey Cero there. And with a crimson flash that shone even brighter and darker then his own orbs, he opened his mouth wide, and the blast soared in the only one direction it could go ... OUT! Right into the head and face of the pitiful shinigami!! There was no evading the most powerful attack of the Espadas, especially not when the Espada had iron grapples upon your arm and shoulder, that would never let go, even if severed from the body, and especially not so when it was a bare couple of inches away from your face.

And it was all over! There was nothing left to do, for either combatants. Ajaket just waited until his blast finished, and his opponent could not evade this blow ... nor even maneuver to lessen damage, since it would literally be a one hit kill as it went straight into his face. The blast radius of the energy attack was more than enough to wipe out the shinigami's existence, and unfortunately, part of Ajaket's right hand. But for now, he watched as the crimson blast turned his opponent into mush, incinerating the hapless fool to bits! The entire upper body of the 'death god' was now annihilated by the blast, and Aja's right hand was undoubtedly getting charred as well ... though, he did let go once the blast was let out, since it would be intact nevertheless.

The Espada made a simple reminder to go pay a visit to the Las Noches' local scientist to see if a regenerative serum for one's tongue could be made, hopefully. If not, well ... he didn't talk much in the first place, so it wasn't all that a big deal. His charred arm would heal, given due time(although that'd be a while judging from the pain and limpness he was feeling). One thought passed his mind.

"I'm never coming to these fucking deserts again"
