Appearance: Short, pixie styled black hair that doesn't even reach her shoulder, falls against her pale white skin. Izanami stands at 5'4, and has an over developed body for that of her age. Also she is very muscular but she is still skinny, skinny enough that too those who are not observant would think of her as weak. Bright green eyes, that constantly stare out into space, which are obviously above her full lips. Her skin is completely flawless, and she is very pale, giving her the look of a model.

Her attire usually consists of very fashion forward attires. Usually having the best that money can afford clothes, and even various jewelry at times. Although her attire is usually very expensive, you can't really categorize her completely as a girly girl because her style changes every day. Some days she's scene, others goth, and sometimes she dresses very girly. Although when she is on a "mission" she keeps the same style no matter what. She wears a black tanktop that falls an inch or two above her belly button with fish net sticking up from the collar of her shirt, flowing down to her belly button, and its long sleeved so it goes all the way to her wrists; she also wears simple black pants that match with her tanktop and regular all black tennis shoes.

Personality:

Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental illness that involves the sufferer experiencing at least two clear identities or personality states, each of which has a fairly consistent way of viewing and relating to the world. Some individuals with DID have been found to have personality states that have distinctly different ways of reacting, in terms of emotions, pulse, blood pressure, and blood flow to the brain. This disorder was formerly called multiple personality disorder (MPD) and is often referred to as split personality disorder.

Such an illness has stricken Izanami; causing her two have two definitive personalities; Namine and Izzy. While Namine remains the dominant personality, there still are multiple and random occasions that Izzy takes over, leaving Namine with little to no memories of the incident or incidents. Most of the time, they seem to be dreams or faint memories, leaving Namine confused when she finds the area of the memory. Although most separate personalities seem to require a strong emotion as a trigger to come out, Izzy will just randomly take over, disregarding the situation. This has tended to lead to some embarrassing situations in the past. Another interesting note is that Namine and Izzy can communicate with each other, not via meditation, but by staring in a reflective surface. This also has lead to a few awkward situations more than once.

Namine:

Namine is the main personality, her name being derived from the ending part of her name. She encompasses the happier side of life; happiness, calmness, and full of energy. She normally always has a bright smile on her face, or close to it. She is slightly clumsy and childish, but tries to make everything she does as fun as possible. However, there are times when the smile falters and Namine lets a little bit of depression through, but those moments are very rare and far between. Even if tears slip out, she can quickly cover them up and put a smile on her face so quickly that it leaves people’s heads spinning and wondering if they actually saw the tears in the first place.

Izzy:

Izzy is the second personality, her name being derived from the begining part of her name. She encompasses the more… darker emotions of this; anger, sadness, cruelty. She is very blunt, and sometimes acts irrationally; charging people randomly or telling a random person on the street what she thinks of their appearance. However, she can be sneaky if necessary, sometimes finding amusement in manipulating people by mentioning a name or making a comment at the right time. However, this doesn’t provide her with much amusement, as she prefers to be in the thick of all the mess.

Izzy is a very adept chef, able to cook a gourmet meal out of basically anything. Also she is naturally a people person, able to make friends with most people in a matter of seconds. Not to mention her sense in fashion; able to figure out the next fad before it even comes out.

Namine
Namine is very good at getting under people's skin; just after one day she can figure out something to use against them (a dead love one's name, etc). Also she is a very good artist, and is very sneaky; its one of her specialties to walk around without a single sound.

History:

Child Arc

Ever since Izanami was little, she was reminded over and over of her family's stature and how she was going to have to take control of it all. Of course at first this was exciting to a small child. To be boss of everyone, to be well known and adored. Who could want more? Little did she know that what came with this title is more responsibility, and the need for more knowledge.

Once she entered Preschool, her parents began to teach her everything about the family business. They continued their studies of the business, until she reached Kindergarten; by then they started to teach her all they knew about anything dealing with medicine, ranging from the technology to the research. This is when she finally realized that, this job wasn't going to be all fun and games, which was still alright with her, so she continued her studies.

As the years passed she learned not only about all the challenges of the family business, but also of all the other jobs the other kids her ages were interested in. This made her jealous; how come they could chose their careers but she couldn't? She loved the career path that she was on, but she was upset that she didn't get to choose it herself; she knew this made her sound spoiled but she just yearned for the day when she got to choose something herself.

Slowly, envy entered Izanami's heart, and she began to rebel; a second personality formed and began to take over. She began to ask her parents for freedom to choose things for herself; like being able to pick out her own clothes, to decorate her room how she liked, to be able to study something new. Her family wouldn't have it, so she began to rebel. Secretly she began to buy her own clothes, and began to slack in her studies.

This lack of interest horrified them so they let her have some more freedom by letting her pick out her own friends and clothes, but she would have to have an arranged marriage. The envy grew and so did that other personality, each day she thought about the arranged marriage. It seemed like every time they took a step to giving their daughter happiness they took two steps back.

This time she made her rebellion less subtle, so that they wouldn't take more freedom from her. She kept her studies up; but she became more secluded, and distanced herself from her family. The only time her and her family really talked was during her studies and that was it.

Birthday Arc

Than on Izanami's 17th birthday, a small short lived Witch Trials began. People all over the world were afraid of things that they couldn't explain so they started to blame people, and yelling that they were different. These accusations could of been from that human being an advanced human, or a hollow's destruction and the human being the only person standing around there. Whatever it was, people were scared, and they wanted to kill all that they feared. This brought them to Izanami's door.

It seems that just last week, Koneko was walking through town, when a hollow attacked. Due to no one being able to see them, everyone freaked. Except for Izanami because for some reason she could see the hollow, and she wasn't afraid. While everybody ran from the destruction, Izanami just stood there and watched. Many spectators noticed this and accused her of being a witch.

Leaving

Soon they sentenced her to death, but before they could get her; she ran off. Taking her family's money she took a plane to Karakura town or atleast what was left of it, where she found the surviving super humans and joined them on their flying aircraft thing.
