Contest, with an actual prize this time

As some of you may remember I have in the past hosted a handful of successful to semi-successful contests here on the forum (I have links below to past contests). I was waiting until I was sure that people thought of me as being a competent member of the community before I asked to take the contests that I do to the next level. That level being the giving of points to the winner. This of course is just a suggestion that can help to get people active on the site and more than anything it is a good way to have some fun off topic .

Of course if I am able to hand out points there will have to be certain ammendments to the rules I use. As well as a more thought out decision for just who will win, these are the rules that I would use every time with the occasional add on if there are special conditions for that contest. Even though some rules are the same and seem pointless here I am just posting the full list of rules and entry guidelines.

1. Contest shall end approximately 48 hours after the initial contest post.
2. In order for a contest to be valid there must be a minimum of three users that can qualify to win taking part or it is void for points.
3. After winning a contest you may still enter all others but are unable to win for three weeks after receiving your victory.
4. All users are allowed up to two entries per contest. (this is per contest not per account)
5. The total number of points for winning a contest is in the range of 10-20 no more shall be given unless approved for a special occasion.
6. Unless you can explain exactly how it fits the topic directly please refrain from the use of pornographic of offensive images.
7. The breaking of a rule (this is mostly for #4) will result in a user being barred from contests for a thirty day period
8. If the previous rule is broken by a user two times then that user is banned from contests indefinitely, this applies to all accounts.



Well those are the rules and I hope that the idea of an actual prize is taken into consideration since the points aren't that much and like I said, this is something fun for our little community here on BO.
