Level: Shikai.

Sealed Zanpakuto: A normal Katana that has it’s case covered in symbols from a deck of playing cards, and the guard is a spade.

Shikai: When released into shikai Gambler takes the form of a Black Fedora on his head and a basic deck of 52 cards. The cards appear to be from ancient days when Latin was young and pagan artist ruled the artistic community. They are clearly normal playing cards with the four basic suits but the art work on them is intricate and resemble tarot cards in art style.

Shikai Ability: From his hands Zane is able to produce cards from the hearts, clubs, and diamonds suits. The Spades are produced from the brim of the hat. Each suit of card has a separate ability and in turn the number of the card indicates the strength of that ability. (2-10 then J, Q, K, and finally Ace) Now for each suits ability.

Spades: This suit is a portable explosive that sets off when it impacts something while Zane is not holding it. A card numbered 2-4 would be mostly for people seated 4 and under for it to be effective. 5-9 are for third seat level, 10-Q are Lt and Priviron equivalent. And finally, the only cards that would have much of an effect on an elite level person are the Kings and Aces.

Hearts: This suit is for healing. To tell how much use the system for effectiveness above and make it for: minor, normal, bad, and life threatening.

Clubs: This suit produces makeshift weapons like katana, daggers and all that. The weapon itself can change but the level of the card is what determines the strength of that weapon. For this use the above chart. All weapons can stay around for a maximum of three rounds or until he dismisses it.

Diamonds: Barriers, this suit is about defense and nothing else. The barriers created are set to block off oncoming attack and things of that nature with effectiveness based on the above chart. The length of time for each card is simple; numbered cards last for one round and face cards can stay for up to two or they can stay for only one to increase their ability to repel oncoming attacks.

When a card is used it disappears and only reforms after a certain amount of turns have passed, this is based on that cards power. 2-9 are back the next round, 10-Q take a one round cool down after use, and Kings and Aces take three turns to reform.

There are four suits in the above ability so I use three techs to make it even out a bit. There is a cool down and duration listed above for these.
