Name: Vergil Rapshodos
Race: Espada
Age: 21 Living, 450 Hollow, 666 Arrancar
Gender: Male
Appearance: Personality: Vergil is calm, cool, and collected. He is also seemingly unflappable, never seeming to be outwardly fazed by anything, whether he's being attacked by Hollows or a giant Hollow closes its jaws on him from behind, or even while actually being impaled with swords, scythes, and other sharp, pointy objects. Vergil has a fondness for reading books. He is quiet and prefers his hands and feet over his Resurrección, since he considers any weapons unworthy of a "true warrior". His quietness is not due to a lack of self confidence but rather an incident that occurred during his early childhood.
Indeed, he never shows fear over anything. Vergil is willing to embrace his Arrancar abilities, and seeks to emulate his predecessor's power and cold persona. He wants more power, regardless of the consequences to those around him. Despite his normal personality of cold dismissal, he does cherish two things: the memory that is left of his murdered parents and his Zanpakutō even though he rarely uses it. Vergil seeks power as compensation for failing to protect his parents and inflicting misery and loneliness upon himself as a child. His failure also has made him forsake close relationships with the other Arrancar and any other creature that attempted to befriend this cold, silent warrior. He does wish to befriend someone, but he is afraid that they would reject him later on, so he turns away to save them the trouble. Vergil lacks speech and is pained when forced to remember his parents.
He refers to anyone he does not find interesting as "trash" and treats them as expendable. Vergil has a strange habit of killing victims he is particularly interested in by stabbing them with his bare hand in the same location as his hollow hole, which is around his stomach. Vergil is also highly perceptive, cunning, and analytical.
History:-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Beginning Life=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Born into a poor family that lived within the ghetto regions of Japan, he was raised in immoral conditions which revolved around high crime rates and unsanitary living conditions. His parents worked day in and day out just to make a living and his father took up an extra job to pull enough funds in for Vergil’s well-being. A few years went by and Vergil turned seven.
It was the day of his birthday and his father hadn’t returned home early like he’d promised. As Vergil heard a knocking at the door, he excitedly opened it, thinking it was his father. The door opened and an unknown man with a large sack forcibly entered their house and threw the sack in front of Vergil’s mother who peered inside and ran away into another room with horror. Vergil fled the room and hid in his favorite hiding spot just outside of his house where he witnessed his mother being raped and murdered by the intruder. Remembering what his dad had told him long ago, he didn’t cry and held his depression and rage bottled inside.
He wandered the streets by day and hid in dumpsters by night until one day, a man was taking out his garbage when he looked into a dumpster and saw Vergil sleeping silently in his ruffled, worn clothes. He picked him up and took him to an orphanage, where Vergil spent the next few years just counting down the days until his death. During those years, he experienced strange anomalies where he saw the spirits of strangers roaming around from time to time. He didn’t say anything because he could care less if anything happened to him. One day, he just couldn’t take being locked up in an orphanage anymore and decided it was time to break out. Later that night, he snuck out of the dormitories while everyone was sleeping and made his way up and over a fence to freedom. He didn’t mind leaving because he didn’t have any friends or personal belongings left behind in that penitentiary.
His next few years out on the streets was spent rummaging through trash cans for food and fighting off threats with his bare hands which would later serve a purpose in the far off distant future. During one of his scavenging trips through the city, he came across a school through which he could see and hear the things going on in some of the classrooms. Remembering that his mother always said that education was very important, Vergil would sit for hours, listening in on the lessons and lectures that were going on. Everything the students learned, he learned. His intelligence wasn’t as vast as the students’, but he did learn enough to get by. From there, he searched around for jobs that were willing to hire uneducated sixteen year-olds. This was when he found the only job in the city that would take him.
He started his career off as a busboy for a run-down restaurant. The owner felt some sympathy for him and let him use the empty basement above the restaurant as his home. Vergil accepted and made his living off of the job’s pay and the food that the manager offered him. He slowly rose through the ranks and became the manager when his predecessor retired. Every day was pretty normal for him, except that he still saw random spirits outside of the restaurant from time to time. Soon afterwards, a new kind of spirit with black clothing and swords would run through the streets killing monsters that seemed to range in size and height.
One day, he had to run to the nearby grocery for some more supplies when he was attacked by a large monster. A familiar spirit came to the rescue and Vergil confronted him. The spirit identified himself as a Shinigami and told Vergil that the monster was a species called Hollows. The Shinigami didn’t say any more and ran off before Vergil could ask any more questions. Before he could react, an out of control truck sped along the road and hit Vergil, killing him accidentally. Everything went black and when he opened his eyes, he was now a spirit like the rest of them.

Vergil wasn’t scared, but he did show a sort of interest in this new realm of the dead. He roamed the city, trying to attract the attention of the living but failed miserably. His failed attempts lead him to library where he would search books for information. This became a daily habit until he finally found a Shinigami who he was able to get information from. Vergil learned that after being eaten by a Hollow, one would either be a part of the Hollow, adding to its powers, or one would become a Hollow themselves. Right when the Shinigami was about to perform a Soul Burial, he was ambushed by a Hollow and instead of running, Vergil allowed himself to be consumed, hoping that he would become a Hollow to.

His plan was successful and he roamed the city consuming as many souls as possible. He was even able to consume some weak Shinigami before entering Hueco Mundo. From there, he spent the next 450 years hunting and consuming weak Hollows and strong Hollows alike. Whatever he saw, he consumed. During one of his battles against an immensely strong Hollow, he broke his limits and finished off the fight with a rage of fury. With the consumption of this Hollow, his abilities were enhanced a bit more than before. He spent his time getting used to his new abilities by hunting random Hollows that were nearby. Now, unlike other Hollows that couldn’t rip off their own mask, Vergil had the motivation and willpower to exceed at what others couldn’t due to his immense hunger for power. He forcibly tried to rip of his mask and success found its way. He quickly became an Arrancar. This was when his real training began.

During his minor killing sprees, he overheard some talk about a location called the Forest of Menos where he decided to set up his training. He entered the Forest of Menos and attacked any Hollow on sight, whether they were Gillian class or Adjuchas class. He didn’t care. All he cared about was power and no matter the consequence, he would do anything to get it. He faced many hardships and many obstacles, but those didn’t stop him from attaining more power. They just made him stronger. He always thought about his parents and his miserable childhood to motivate himself to get even stronger. His immense growth-rate also helped him to gain power faster. He’s been last seen roaming the desert-covered surface of Hueco Mundo, searching for more prey to satisfy his insatiable hunger for power.
Innate Ability: Unlike all of the other Arrancar that wanted a lot more power than anything else, Vergil saw the importance of living so he could gain more power. So, he gave up increased power and strength in order to keep his ability of high-speed regeneration. He can quickly regenerate any part of his body except for his brain and internal organs. However, this power also requires that he have sufficient spiritual energy. Vergil is considered one of the best defensive Arrancar because all of his innate abilities help keep him alive, like his enhanced Hierro. Unlike other Arrancar that can only produce a normal Hierro, Vergil is able to create steel like skin that is highly durable even by Arrancar standards.
He can deflect attacks of similar power barehanded. He is able to fight amateur Vizards in their Hollow forms without unsheathing his sword, rendering them defenseless with two attacks and not sustaining injuries of any kind. While the regular Hierro might cause Vergil to normally lose a limb, his enhanced Hierro allows him to sustain only minor injuries, such as cuts and bruises. Also, in his released form, Vergil's Hierro appears to be even stronger, as most opponents’ strongest attacks seem to have no effect on him.
(Note: The last sentence before this “Note” is an exaggeration. It is not truly possible to have no effect.)His build makes him look weak, but he is incredibly strong for his size. Vergil’s strength is enough to kick some opponents a great distance away and has punches that could potentially disorient his opponents for a second or two because of the immense pain he inflicts onto them. On top of his mighty strength, he has some quick feet making him a sort of Sonído master compared to other Arrancar.
An ability that is unique to Vergil is his control over the speed of anyone that enters his five meter radius. He isn’t able to control it. Actually, it just happens to anyone, whether its friend or foe, and it can’t be stopped. This is one reason why people like to keep a good distance from him and it has made him secluded all throughout his Arrancar life. No one has yet dared to actually enter his area of effect due to fear that he might do something while they are slowed by half.
The only things that could move at normal speed include materialistic objects, such as swords, other weapons, and other not-living things. Attacks that are made out of Reiryoku or any other energy could also move at normal speeds, so Kidos, Hollow abilities, such as Bala and Cero, and attacks that incorporate elements, such as water, wind, and other elements count as energy attacks. This area is called “Campo Congelado” which means “Frozen Field”, which is named after the feeling that the opponents get when they enter the area.
