| Name: Hanpa, Reikon. Age: 12,456 Visual age: 24 Ex-Division: 13th Lieutenant Appearance: Reikon is a young, beautiful looking woman. She always wears a red kimono with black flower patterns, cut short. The skirt of the kimono comes down a bit past her knees on her right side and a bit above her knee on her left side. Her obi is pure black, and tied in a large bow at the base of her spine. Her hair is pitch black, being set to fall freely in the back. Her bangs are short, just above her crimson eyes. Though she never wears makeup, she is always extremely pale and looking almost flawless. Her lips are a natural deep red, and her expression is always forlorn. Everything about her looks fragile, even down to her long thin fingers. Don't let this fool you, however, for her fingernails are grown out to act as pitch-black claws. Her body is forever scarred from her means of death over 10,000 years ago. Her arms, legs, and stomach are all scarred with straight lines that look like they may have been administered with a short blade. Personality: Reikon is a very sad person. She is always quiet, and looking as if she were on the verge of tears. However this does not mean she is never happy, she just doesn't know how to show it. She is constantly pessimistic, and enjoys talking very poetically. She shows respect to only those who prove themselves to her, no matter their rank or reputation. Reikon is not pacifistic, but she refuses to start an engagement. She has a sense of honor, in that she would never verbally or emotionally attack someone. She would also never attack a defenseless person. Sneak attacks and assassination tactics disgust and anger her. While she is not outspoken, she does know how to put her thoughts into words. She will think out her response before speaking, and it will always come out perfectly. No saying what she doesn't mean or adding in "umm, uh, well," or "y'know"'s. Accordingly, she doesn't take excuses from others for the things they say. She thinks that if it was said it must have been pre-meditated, and therefore it was something that you really did mean to say. She is sensitive, and has a low-self esteem, so she is hurt easily. Background/History: Reikon remembers little of her life, as most Shinigami do. However, she remembers her death like it was yesterday. It still haunts her in her dreams. She remembers sitting alone, naked, in a room with a large tub and water picket. Obviously this was where she had washed and prepared herself everyday. She held, in her trembling hands, a small blade. It was her husbands. She could hear him screaming at her, trying to bust down the door to the room that was her only safe-haven. Drawing the blade across her arms, she begin to carve her body. She felt freedom in the pain, and knew it would all end soon. However, not soon enough. So she switched hands, carving up the other arm as well. With almost limp, trembling arms, she went on to carve into her legs and stomach. Finally, lying in the pool of blood that she had formed, she died. Her last words were a whisper that the husband would not hear. "Touch my baby and suffer my fate." She said, more of a vow than a statement. And he did. She traveled to the soul society within the next week. She didn't understand why she had been chosen to be different, but unlike her new family she starved without food. When a shinigami came in on patrol and saw her starving in the streets, he picked her up and brought her to his home. There they ate watermelons and talked. The next week, she entered the Soul Society's Academy. She passed with average grades, skimming by so as not to be noticed. However, one captain did. The captain of the squad in which her shinigami savior belonged met her one day and instantly recognized the reiatsu burning within her. He took her into his squad and began to train her personally. She learned to release her Zanpakuto from him. Overjoyed with what he had taught her, she hugged him and kissed him lightly on the cheek. The next day she was lieutenant of the squad. After a few hundred years of doing her duty, she happened upon a hollow. This hollow she recognized somehow, though she couldn't figure it out. It was only until her talked that she knew. It was her husband. He taunted her, threatening to beat her like he had so many times in life. He spoke of how he mutilated her dead body even further, and then did the same to their young daughter. Disgusted and furious, she tore him apart. She made him suffer for hours before she finally destroyed him, and that was the first time she saw the gates of hell. She laughed and rejoiced as she saw the massive blade fire from that abominable gate and pierce him through his empty chest. The next day, she awoke to a man hovering in front of her. He congratulated her on her wonderful day the night before, and began to talk to her. He told her of how her captain had wrongly accused him of a crime and had him exiled. Though she didn't want to believe it, somehow she did. They became fast friends, and spent days just sitting and talking. Then, finally breaking the spell that had put her into a daze of conversation, she told him she must be leaving. The next thing she knew, she was waking up tied down to a chair. She could feel a stirring inside of her and she screamed out. The man walked into the room, a syringe in hand, and told her that she was his newest guinea pig. He had finally found a way to make a Vaizard, and she was the vessel he had used. RP sample: Senki appeared at the front gates of the Hidden Sand Village in a flash. Ashes swirled around her as the flames she had used as a medium for transportation dispersed. The sun was high in the air, having just passed the mid-point of the day. With a confident smirk, she began to walk toward the closed doors. She raised her hand to the sky, her thumb and middle finger touching. With a sudden flick of her fingers, she snapped. The sound resonated through the silent area, followed by the sound of crackling flames. A torrent of flames seared the air as it traveled toward the massive, wooden gate. The entire gate was consumed in flames in a matter of minutes, the wood being consumed like meat in a lion's den. Senki stepped through the fire, unafraid to get burned. Today she wore her make-shift akatsuki tunic. It resembled her everyday tunic, except it was made of black silk and held the traditional cloud patterns of the Akatsuki. She stalked through the ash, fire, and smoke like a demon through hell. Her eyes burned and glowed in the firelight, as her fingers met one more time. With another snapping noise, the small stand where Jounin guards stood was set ablaze. With a twisted grin, she continued onward. Reaching into her tunic, she produced several explosive tags. These tags flew through the air like arrows, sticking to the sides of buildings. The tags erupted into flames, sending the rubble flying into innocent bystanders. Smoke filled the air, sending the world into the abyss of false-night. The air was now filled with the cries of both angry and afraid. However, one noise that resonated above all others was the laughter of a devil. Senki continued through town, slaying ninja left and right with her trusted blade, turning others into piles of ash. "Where is the challenge? Feed my hatred you pathetic mortals! Come, bring your strongest and challenge the Goddess of Ashes!" She declared, thrusting her blade into the sky. Her tunic billowed around her as heavy winds picked up, her eyes and blade glowing in the firelight. She stood there for several minutes awaiting a challenger worthy of her time. |
